He asked me once
Why I loved him
I had so many answers
But instead
I told him that I didn't mean to
Love just happened
The way love is supposed to
You used to be yourself
But now you're someone else
You used to be so happy
But now you're blinded
You used to be realistic
But now you're counterfeit
You used to be original
But now you're plagiarized
What happened?
I remember the you
That you used to be
Do you remember who
I was when I was me?
I forgot the truth
Of when you were true
I forget even more
Like when I was too

Do you remember?
That one late night?
You said you loved me
And it felt so right.
I believed you
Thought it couldn't be better
Then just you and me
In love and lust together
But you lied
I still don't know why
Then I cried
And you said goodbye

That was really me
The me that was with you
Now I'm damaged
I'm not sure what to do

That wasn't the real you
Not the man I knew
He wouldn't have left me broken
He was honest and true
What happened to you?

The truth?
You probably don't even know
You've always been confused
You don't even realize
**What happened to you....
Styles May 2014
I am lost....
I see you, you see
staring....
That look, your'r so
endearing ...
Not really, you are
scaring...
The kids, who are
staring...
At you, nostrils
flaring...
Eyes blood shoot, you're
glaring...
I am not ignoring; just temporarily lost hearing and replaced it with "Currently busy, with; not caring; "
RAL Dobbins Apr 2014
It's nearly summer.
The best time of the year; undoubtedly.

A festering of walking and breath,
half naked woman on sand and ice cream,
and I, alone on my boardwalk, dreaming of lines that tell stories,

not paying any attention to anything that is happening.

That's the moment when a human finds a way to make love out of thin air on a boardwalk.
