raw with love
i was a spark.
you turned me into fire
but since you left me
i am ash.

When days get longer and nights get shorter
that is where my heart lies
When the heat of the beating sun makes my skin glisten
that is where you'll find me, being as open and free as one can be
When life gets less stressful and sleep becomes more peaceful
that is where you'll find my smile as big as that of a child
Those are the days of summer
Those are the days I don't weep
Those are the days I want to last forever
Those are the days I can eat, sleep, laugh and just be
Daydreaming about Summer, wishing it would come sooner

I'm ashamed; posting
these awkward poems; expecting
you'd read this and smile.

I don't want to
Get lost
In you
But I fear
I have travelled
Much too
Far.
I never planned on
Staying up
Till four am
Wondering
About the thought
Of us.

Falling for you was the easy thing to do
Having a permanent love is against the odds
Burning passion bleeding from every inch of me
So love sick hoping and praying that it's meant to be

I can't let you walk away without a trace
You can see the tracks of my tears upon my face
Knowing three words would change how I feel
To have a permanent love I know it's not real

These emotions I have you know they are real
I've fallen in love and that's what I feel
So love sick and knowing this will never be
There will never be a you and a me

Up until my insomnia meets me
I lied when I said I forgot
I was scared what you'd think
If I said that  I love you a lot

People have only cared for minutes
Leaving me to care for days
When I look at you all I can think
Is please don't go away

I can see me in your eyes
I dream of dreaming with you
I can trace your scars with mine
My thoughts are bleeding through:

My Talia, I know what it's like to not be seen;
what it's like to be alone in a crowded room.
For you, my star, I want you to know:
that no one shines as bright as you.

I can taste you moving on my skin.
My gasp is air you sustain.
hand in hand, under an umbrella
with you, I am safe.
