A Lopez
I want you to take me
To control all of me
My heart.. my thoughts.. my mind
I want you always by my side
From your love I'll never hide
Cause this pure love I long to find

I want you to conquer me
To love me
To care for me

I wanna kiss your tears and pain away
I wanna always be there for you when you need me

I wanna shout out loud ' I LOVE YOU '
So it can reach you
I wanna sing for you
Smile to you
Give you me with no regrets

homepage flooded
with poetry written
on topics such as
suicide,
hate,
harm,
loss,
pain
&
death;

we like it
and scroll down
we repost it
keep scrolling
we add it to our collection
and just like that
moments later
words forgotten
moved on

"next poem, please"
as if the poem
existed without
a person in pain
backing it up
as if behind the words
there was no soul
cracking at the seams
as if the poem itself
held more significance
than the (wo)man behind the pen

the least we could do
is acknowledge the existence
of the broken poet
behind the beautifully saddening poem
// all the best poetry is based off of pain //

Ambient Destruction
Rain that falls as dust
Rain that feels like ashes
Wasted on skin that might as well be dead
Not feeling it
Not the life of the party
My life a crime scene
That nobody bothered to report
Knuckles glossy red
Unplugged like spilled lemonade
Face-planted on papier-mâché curbs
And I didn't even get to keep the balloons
No more wicked games
This was my ship
To wreck
Just raise it from the bottomless pit
They say
Live like an adult
But I'd rather
Die like a child
Rain isn't stopping today.
And I'd like to jump in the puddles, but I'm not supposed to do that.
I'm an "Adult".

Scars show us where we have been, they do not dictate where we are going.

in the land of the white
live too the black men
apparently with equal right
but with covert disdain.

why couldn't the world be one place
when we are all from common gene
where humanity is the only race
across the color of skin.

in the land of the black
live too the white men
apparently of the same pack
but on a different plane.

why couldn't the world be one landmass
when we rose from one origin
where being humane is the only class
across the color of skin.

in the land of the white
live the white men
among them aren't equal right
exist disparity and disdain.

why couldn't the world be one unit
when together we all once had been
where brotherhood is boldly writ
across the color of skin.

in the land of the black
live the black men
among them oneness they lack
the inequalities still remain.*

why couldn't the world be one creed
where mankind lives as one kin
the white and the black can only read
love across the color of skin.

The skies threatened
but only a single rain drop
fell, landing atop a large mountain

It felt worthless, the darkest skies,
a gloomy forecast,
for it was him…discarded,
tossed away from his home,
spit out by the mother cloud

He trickled down the side
through crevice and cracks,
“What difference does it make,
I’m nothing anyway” he sighed

Around twists and turns,
neath prickly shrubs, dodging thorns,
faster and faster he ran
sure now he was going to die
but who cares….

Unable to control his speed,
fear began to collect
the closer to the ground he got

This was it, the end,
he could see the earth
approaching rapidly,
“goodbye” he thought
“No one will miss me anyway,
I am a failure, good riddance”

But when he reached the bottom,
he splashed into a puddle
that was happy to see him,
for this lone drop of rain
would extend its life,
if only for a few moments more…
Someone will always want and need you....
