You are the
        window
              to my pain
  Cloudy with
            no chance of clarity
      I can see
               how far
away you are
                    Out of focus,
           still hurting me
                      *so easily
Not everything that breaks is unusable, like my heart for example.
Today was my birthday

And I barely remember what I did
But I was surrounded by those I love

Today was my birthday

And I didn't get very many gifts
But what I got was just enough

Today was my birthday

And I didn't go anywhere special
But I was surrounded by those I love

**And it was just perfect enough

*Sunset shimmers, brushstroke heavens,
pastel ribbons brightly gleam
Atop a slumbering horizon,
lost within a blissful dream

Twilight breathes in shadowed vistas,
firefly illumined skies
Cooler breezes flow the branches,
evergreens in whispered sighs

Silhouettes of evening romance,
constellations dance above
Darkness calls my heart’s devotion,
alone with you and so in love
When you are down
ill turn to a clown
when you do cry
ill send a smile to fly
when you feel upset
ill wish u have button to reset
when you are alone
remember two comes after one
when you see the roads end
remember its just a bend
in life out of the few that never end
its the love of a true friend
To honor few who stood by me near and far
As we see a star
It's from a past far
A view to space eternal
A mother universe maternal
Not to understand
Never to comprehend
As we journey across milky way
May we rejoice on the earth we stay
Its a rose with thorn
Yet flowers born
Saved by thorn

As sun rises at dawn
Lost love doth mourn
Heart pained and worn

Seek ye joy as today
Thorns be on the way
Destiny lived and survived today

Love doth live
Pain and pleasure to give
mother earth
Scared by human deed
her beauty fade to endless greed
her arms of green sent to mill
her rivers of life waste to fill
her eyes in smog lost its hue
oil spills hurt her sea blue
end doth her life without care
oh doth hearts her pain to share
green grasses frail and fail
Human deed acid hail
Art of human her face doth scar
tis our earth her end not far
call ye oh hearts to think
save her from extinctions brink
Love oh it doth fade
by steel if hearts made
yet tis a heart beating red
Pumping its life blood
silence of today speak tomorrow
Life doth smile on days sorrow
Thy hands ever held
to cure the heart that bled
