Lily
Everyday she walks alone
Keeping her head bowed down
But she knows she's a princess
With an imaginary crown

One day she met a boy
She thought whom was the one
Made her promises of forever
Asked for everything but none

But colors fade away
So did her perfect guy
He found someone 'better'
Left without any 'goodbye'

Now her heart was broken
She walks alone again
Left with nothing but memories
Of a boy she loved back then.

This is the poem I first wrote and posted for another poetry site last Jan. 11. Let me know your thoughts.
Like Pablo Picasso's
artistically rendered paintings
& Mozart's ultimate
piano concerto perfection
   you utterly moved me,
as Monet's
impressionistic wildflowers
our love grew,
flourishing amidst
poetry's cultivated gardens

*'Til you fashioned
yourself subsequent to
Van Gogh's insanity,
leaving me beside myself
now, I want to cut off
        more than your ear
Just having a fun little scribble :)
Some men are not meant to be happy, they are meant to be great!
Normal is overrated,
And true happiness, the subject of many a debate.
As far back as man, or be it extra-terrestial, the concept, outdated.

Some men will rather starve than be called fat or pale.
Some men will rather be killed than bear witness to a  false tale.
Some men will die alone, and others will die with their loved ones at bay.
Some men will try to be different, but dead bodies all decay.

All through history, Man has sought to make his life easier;
To get a lot more comfortable, by any means, quicker.
He has sought to be forever in his youth;
To seal within himself, his soul like a selection from the old juke-booth.
I say I'm done
with being treated like ****
because I'm a human
and I deserve respect
but I still get surprised
when I'm treated right
and I apologize
when I've done nothing wrong
but I do stand up for myself occasionally
so that's something
right?
