heidi 1d
Swimming in a sea of liquid jade
Green waves semi-opaque,
Droplets shining crystalline like jewels
Tendrils of seaweed, entangling embrace
short poem inspired by a section from chapter 13 of The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
heidi 2d
The sky boils red
Rippling in the sun’s heat
Flaming atmosphere
heidi 3d
Breathe in right away
Lungs expanding with each breath
A taste of fresh air
heidi 5d
Think, think, think
Still not a drop of ink
The page lies bare,
As does my stare
Indifferent and dull
My mind has nothing to mull
Only the wish to write,
Not a thought in sight
having the desire to write is not the same as letting creativity flow through you
Its leaves fold,curl in
Their grip yields to the cold wind
The elm knows their loss
heidi Dec 9
Tear soaked tissues accumulate beside me
Another round of escaped thoughts half-buried,
Like the undead rising from their graves
Unable to die, with an insatiable hunger to devour
Infecting pureness with it’s gnawing hatred
the thoughts aren't as gruesome as the actions that caused them
heidi Nov 22
fresh new love blooms
pure and untouched,
it stands tall…
until the petals are plucked
and crushed in a game
Of he-loves-me, he-loves-me-not
