The Lord your God
           in your midst,
the Mighty One,
          He will save;
with gladness
          He will rejoice
over you,

with His love,

God's love is so amazing.   He puts such a value on us.....so incomprehensible.....
Big Virge Dec 2019
Is it Such A Crime To Speak Your Mind … ?

Because ….
It Seems To Be If You're NOT WHITE ... !!!

I Hear This Said So MANY Times … !!!

"Virge, you scare folks with words you rhyme !"

And That's NO JOKE But Words I Quote ...
Are NOT  The Type To Start A Fight … !!!

But May UNSETTLE Those Who … " Settle " ...
To Hide Behind A … "LIE FILLED Life" … !!!

Can Someone DEFINE Why It's …. " Such A Crime " …. ?
To Criticise ... Political Types …. !?!

In Times Like THESE FREEDOM of SPEECH ...
Is NEEDED …  Just Like Poetry … !!!

If We're To Ease Pain And Misery … !!!
And Crimes of More FATAL DESIGNS … !!!!!

MURDERS ... RAPES Crimes Based On Race …
And Crimes Inclined To Keep The Masses ... "Blind" ... !!!
Like Those In Folds Who Make Mistakes …
Do THEY Pay A Toll For CASH THEY TAKE … ?!?

MISTAKES … THEY SAY That Pay For Homes … ?!?

"It was merely a loan, from a chap I know !
No more questions now, i've got to go !"

"A chap you know, can't we know his name ?"

"Are you insane, is it such a crime
for you to find, that friends of mine,
help out in times of financial strain ?"

"Of course not sir, but don't divert, what is his name,
and did he donate to your friends campaign ?
Need I ask you again, the question is what is his name ?
Let me make it plain, are you quite sure he hasn't bought,
A Peerage, and is now a lord ?"

"I will not answer any more !
What do you take, politicians for ?
Anyone would think, our dealings stink !"

"Well, no more than a poor street ***** !
Is it such a crime to want to know more ?"

Could This Be Why Government Guidelines ...
Are Trying To Stem ... Peoples' Questions ... !?!

If Free Speech ENDS What'll Happen To THEM … ???
And ALL THEIR Pre-Planned Arguments … ?!?

It Seems That THEY Will Carry On …
Airing Views Even If They're WRONG … !?!

Isn't That A Crime It Would Seem NOT … !?!
So How Can It Be A CRIME To Speak Your Mind ... ?!?
ESPECIALLY When You're PROVEN RIGHT … !!!

I Find This ATTITUDE At …. " Poetry Nights " …. ?!?

if You Speak About Your Life That Seems To Be FINE …
Or Express FRUSTRATION At The State of The NATION … !!!
Through Words You Write ….
If You Are WHITE And They Make Folks SMILE ... !!!

But If You're BLACK And Make ATTACKS …
On RACISTS ... Or On Western Plans …
You're Treated Like An ….. ALIEN …… !!!!!
It MUST BE A Crime To Be A BLACK MAN ... !???!

ESPECIALLY When You Have A MIND …
Inclined To WRITE Poetic Rhymes That Spread Insight … !!!

"But, SOME BLACKS DO !"

"Well, if that's true, let me ask you who ?
Mr. Zephaniah, okay, that's one !
But, he's spent time inside prison !"
I'm talking about a black without,
a history of dodgy deeds !"

I Think You'll Find THAT MAN Is ME … !!!
NO Prison Time Has Big Virge SEEN … !!!

But May Well Do For Words I Speak …
Even When My Record's … CLEAN … !!?!!

Well …. Clean ENOUGH … !!!

I HAVE BEEN Cuffed ... !!!!!
For Slapping A Girl For DISRESPECTING MY MUM … !!!!!

And ….. " Driving Drunk " ……
But Both Misdemeanours Were Just The ONCE … !!!!!
And Like Benjamin ... Were When I Was YOUNG … !!!!!

But The Point I'm Trying To Make …
Is … Black Americans Are Deemed To Be GREAT … !!!!!
For Taking A STANCE AGAINST Racial HATE … !!!!!

WHICH English Black Can Make The Claim THAT …
They've Gained RESPECT For … Taking THAT STANCE … !?!

What Does That Say About Those Who CLAIM … !!!

THAT …….

"Blacks are treated just the same,
as every other race on, English Shores !"

"Are THEY QUITE SURE ?!!!? "

I'm NO Malcolm X But DO HAVE A Cause … !!!
My Cause DEPLORES These Government Laws … !!!

Cos' If You're Black And POOR …
You're Gonna ... SUFFER For SURE … !!!!!

Even If You're NOT …
Police Now Plot To Shoot You Down … !!!!!
Or Question You ... Even If They Doubt … ?

THAT You ARE THAT Drug Dealer … !?!
OR The ONE Who STOLE That Car … !!!!!

Laws They PASS Are Now PURE FARCE … !!!!
It Seems They've Moved But …. NOT TOO FAR …. !!!!!!!
AWAY From Keeping Us ……….. Apart ……….

Ask Yourself WHY Are They Inclined ... ?
To RESTRICT Those Who EXPOSE LIES … ?!?

Creatively ...  Or Otherwise …
Through Simply Saying What's IN Their Mind … !?!

PLEASE Ask Yourself WHY … ?

..... " Is It Such A Crime ? " ......

Why I Love
Jack Jenkins Dec 2016
I'm not a good man. I promise.
I'm a guy who ****** himself out and usually wears some sort of mask to keep people from getting too close.
I've hurt everyone I've had love for. Family. Friends. The only two women I've ever loved. I'm not a good person.
Yet, in my brokenness, God sees me like a jigsaw puzzle.
God still loves me the same, and His mercies are new everyday. And because of His great, lavishing, ravishing, grace, I love you all.

Maybe you're someone in love with a man in a commitment, and you're having an affair.
And you don't know how to feel about it.
And your family hates you
Well, God loves you, and I love you.

Or perhaps you're a girl who has lost her only friends
And you've cut for the twentieth time, today.
God loves you, and I love you.

You're the woman struggling to keep a twelve year relationship alive, with six kids to care for and you're haunted by the past, and the fear he won't forgive you.
God loves you, and I love you

You're out with your friends and you're shooting ****** and taking crystal ****. You hate your father, and you're suicidal.
God loves you, and I love you.

You're a gifted poet who's struggled with ****** addiction to the point you have a church fan handy at all times.
And you've lost that one dear person.
God loves you, and I love you.

You're a woman still in love with a man who hurt you so badly from across the country, you've never even met.
And you struggle through your depression everyday.
God loves you, and I love you.

You're a poet who struggles with the demons in your head and the illness in your mind. Broken by the loss of friends and the hurt in your heart.
Cutie, God loves you, and I love you

Or you're a woman still in love with a lost person, and the only way you can still have hope is to write poems on here.
God loves you, and I love you

Maybe you're the overweight, socially awkward girl that your father is disappointed in. And you've been hurt by every boyfriend you've ever had and now you don't trust or get too close.
God loves you, and I love you.

You're trying day by day not to cut and scar yourself.
Remembering the promise that you made and hating that you made it.
God loves you, and I love you

You're the girl with that huge list of problems.
You have that terrible foster family, and you've spent 15 months in therapy.
God loves you, and I love you.

Or you're this amazingly bubbly teen
That really, I've never seen you sad
And you want to see the world
God love you, and I love you.

Or you're the girl with no arms.
Who doesn't know what it's like to hold a hand.
Or pet an animal. Or know your mother.
God loves you, and I love you.

You're the man who fought in the opening moves of Iraq.
You faced the horrors of war. And you lost your wife in '07.
God loves you, and I love you

You're the *** addict all alone.
Your boyfriend never really cared for you.
You're tired of fighting life, and you hope the cancer takes you out.
God loves you, and I love you.

And maybe you're the unknown person.
Forgotten by everyone.
You're a nobody. You're alone.
And you find this:
God loves you, and I love you.

Zephaniah 3:17New International Version (NIV)

17 The Lord your God is with you,
the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you;
in his love he will no longer rebuke you,
but will rejoice over you with singing.”
This was my 200th poem written 14 February 2016

IMAGINE BIBLICALLY DONE ART

I went to Genesis hotel through Exodus road. On the way, I saw Leviticus recording the Numbers of people at Deuteronomy, while Joshua was waiting at the Beautiful gate for Judges to see Ruth calling loudly "Samuel ! Samuel ! At a stage, the first and second Kings of Chronicles 1 & 2, were coming to visit Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther for the misfortune of Job their brother. They started singing Psalms and teaching children Proverbs concerning Ecclesiastes and Songs of Solomon. This coincided with the period that Isaiah was engaged in Jeremiah's Lamentations together with Ezekiel and Daniel  their friends. By that time, Amos and Obadiah were not around. Three days later, Hosea, Joel and Jonah travelled in the same ship with Micah and Nahum to Jerusalem. Habakkuk then visited Zephaniah
who introduced him to Haggai a friend of Zechariah whose cousin is Malachi.
Immediately after the tradition, Mathew, Mark, Luke and John got involved in Acts of the Romans who were behaving like the 1st Corinthians group because the 2nd Corinthians group were always at loggerheads with the Galatians. At that time too, they realized that the Ephesians and Philippians were close to the Colossians, and a suggestion for the first Thessalonians visit was made, and that on their second Thessalonians visit, they should first of all see the first and second of the Timothy brothers who had gone to the house of Titus to teach Philemon his younger brother how to read and write in Hebrew. On hearing this, James asked Peter twice to explain to him how the three Johns have disclosed to Jude the Revelations of this journey.
God's Gospel the Artistic way.
Joseph Fernandez Jan 2021
In the world today there is a prevalent illusion.
It confounds the masses with abounding confusion.

Not knowing which way is righteous.
In mental darkness they stumble as people sightless.

Clinging to entities that merely spin round and round.
Producing nothing beneficial, zero solutions have they found.

Locked out of spiritual light of truth, and not having the key.
They look at the current ugly conditions, and yet are not able to focus and see.
All the while their wicked jailer with cunning machinations continues laughing at their fumbling, and will not set them free.

Every day they continue the same, bad to worse.
Daily they think up new ways to be even more perverse.

Knock knock! Good news to all is what we bear!
Any amount of time we sincerely are willing with you to share.
Truly without Jehovah you will not be able to bear!
Loving brothers, no way what’s coming will they be able to say is unfair.

The hopes they have for the wicked world they desire.
Soon to be burned with Jehovah’s anger, as a consuming fire.

No institution can save their wicked world.
Soon all parts into oblivion will they be hurled.

Neither religious, political, technologies or money will have success.
Only Jehovah, through his kingdom, is able to once and for all, fix this mess.
