The Bleeding Tree
 Dec 2024 ryn
Emma
Beneath the moon’s cold, watchful eye,
A tree stands silent, wounds run deep.
Its bark is scarred; its sap won’t dry,
For every name, it’s bound to keep,
A curse etched there for souls to weep.

The lovers carved with thoughtless blade,
A fleeting vow, a whispered kiss.
Now shadows dance where dreams once played,
And roots ache for a simpler bliss,
While haunted whispers twist and hiss.

Its leaves grow heavy, dark with grief,
Each scar a wound that will not fade.
No time nor sun brings it relief,
For memories cruelly invade,
And turn its strength to ghostly shade.

Yet still it stands, though bent and worn,
A bleeding shrine to fleeting youth.
Its rings hold tales of hearts forlorn,
Each scar a fragment of the truth,
A silent ode to love’s unsooth.

Oh, bleeding tree, what stories keep?
What specters linger in your boughs?
Do ghosts of lovers dream or weep,
While nature kneels in solemn vows?
Your endless scars, their endless plows.
We carved our initials into a tree bark long ago.

Morning Star
I see you
lay upon my pillow
Each time I am alone
I smell the scent of you so deep
I feel your arms while I'm asleep
For the first time
In a my life it's true
I feel as though I'm held
A beating heart i feel in you
Each moment we are apart
Whispers in the quiet
lay across your chest
Holding you so closely
The stars' alinement quest

Let's tremble together...

Take off ...
The garment of shyness ...
And let me ...
Awaken the splendor of your feelings ...
And give warmth ...
For this your body ...
Until I free it ...
From the cold of loneliness ...
And the deadly time ...
That gone ...

Come ...
And be now ...
In my arms ...
As ...
Every night ...
I embrace my guitar ...
And my fingers ...
Play ...
With the splendor of its strings ...
While i ...
feel only ...
You ...

Yes, my love...
Let me...
Play...
On the strings of your heart...
Until we tremble together...
To live both together ...
The most beautiful love ...

Victory

Aimée
I fought for the confidence
To say I like who I am

To believe that I am worth the war
And I am proud of this victory
Above any other

Dying embers
Warmth escaping
A worn smolder
Still hanging on

Not yet ashes
A memory
Of brilliance
Before it’s gone

Somehow a spark
Crackles and skips
On the last twig
Nearly beyond

And was enough
To light the night
With one flicker
Hopeful and strong

Empty Letters

Empty letters
erase my sin
and my shame
on a piece of blank paper.
Hollow words try their best
to redeem my former glory.
I sent you an envelope
with an empty letter inside.
There were no words written
but the blank sheet had captured my tears.
That's why it was wet and smooth with no ink.
The ink would have been washed out by my teardrops.
So I wrote nothing on it,
And let the empty letter
stand alone on its weight.
As a testament,
As a silent apology.
Do not be mad at me for this
because words can still be empty letters
if not filled with the right feeling.
And an empty letter can hold within it a thousand regrets,
If carved with shame filled teardrops.
Empty Letters try their best to display my pain

There is obviously
A deep-rooted incompatibility
Between you and me
I trust your judgment
You know you
Better than I do
