I am lost within her gaze

And I melt in her arms

Her call leaves me breathless

Her touch leaves me senseless

All I could do now is watch her take my breath away.
Maybe
if I turn
my back
you can
see
for yourself
the
******
constellations
you drew
with your
knife.
you make me better
though I am still bitter

spending days
soothing the burns
upon my hands

I had been
holding things
too tightly.

you loosen my grip
help me hang on
remind me
this isn't solitary

remind me
I am not stationary
or stagnant
just starting

continuing this journey
just like I had done
all the days before
this one.

but I am not alone
for you are the hand
that helped me
and held me

you are the grip
that keeps me
from falling too far
back into the same patterns.

I worry if I write
about the way
you have saved me,
you won't want to anymore.

that you will feel
your work here is done
and you will move
slowly on.

the progress
will regress
and time will
wither us apart.

I will try to hold my grip
but I will be too weak
and my hands will let us go.

you make me see
the fault in that

and laugh
at the cynicism
etched inside
of my smile

you make me
want to continue.

so I will fill up this page
and write all of this poetry
for you-

and not care
what happens
if I do.
It hits me in the weirdest ways

Like when I see a picture
Of you wearing a t-shirt I don't recognize

Or being asked questions about you
That I don't know the answer to

And while I've moved on
It never gets easier realizing that
*you moved on too.
A place where silence blooms
only at break of day
Another chance, another hope
paved its way
So you try to think and feel
though everything is gray
And peacefulness seem far away

When all you wanted was to run
One thing makes you stay around
Wishing life is all and fun
Keeping your balance on the ground

In time everything will turn out fine
Positive outlook always on the line
All smile and happiness, no more frown
As certain hope, long lost now found.
Kiss it make it better,
Hike your skirt up a little higher.
No one ever looked at you the way friends do.
This is what you call fooling around,
And you do it with him and You do it with a frown.

And he won't remember your name,
You can't get dressed without a flash back these days
And he won't remember your name
You can't get dressed without a flash back these days
Where I used to be deep and dark she just calls me evil... Well I say I'm the devil.

Hiya gramps,

It's been a long time since I said hello
Not that I forgot about you though
It's just that things have been going kind of slow
I miss you, you just don't know
Honestly wish you never had to go
Life would have been so much easier wouldn't you say so
These tears wouldn't be flying like rain drops in the sky
Wouldn't be clinching this string so tight
Struggling not to say forget it all and just die
Belive me it's rather tempting but I could never bring myself to do it
Always thought about that deathly frown you'd give me
And that judgemental shake of the head
Followed by the famous "I love you, but you got to try again"
Well anyways I just wanted to say hi I'm doing fine
You'd be so proud of me if you were still alive
For you and I I'll survive
Rest in peace grandpa I love you so much
So cold and motionless...
Like a puddle of water...
Going no where and soon may vanish if the rain stops...
To be forgotten...
Like a fuzzy dream...
Not able to feel any emotion...
Like someone has pressed the pause button on you...
Stopping your life and never hitting play...

I come in, full grin,
Gauging how anxious I am by
how bad my hands are shaking.
Social anxiety; this party turns into an army.
"Wish you were here"
They're kinda joking but it sounds sincere.

I feel like a public service announcement
Their ears perk up,
They can tell that I'm nervous...
So,
I'll take anything if it means I'll start talking and
I'll say anything if it makes me an easy going person.
