I wish me invisible
I want to disappear
I am but a damsel
Parading in knight's gear

I want to be the unknown
I need to be again a stranger
I wish my secrets not shown
Back to a time when it was clearer

I wish to be a zephyr
I want to be felt not seen
I need to be less of the liar
At least lesser than I have been

I crave the comfort of solitude
I long for the absence of physical contact
I miss the tears that once had ensued
Somehow then I was more intact

I want to be an undetermined star
I need to be unnamed in an uncharted galaxy
I wish to retreat behind my avatar
So you won't see the real me

I wish me invisible
I want to be protected by ambiguity
I need to disappear from this debacle
Into the welcoming arms of anonymity

You only get
one
line...

I think...

I've
squandered
mine...
You only get one life.
Living it is easier said than done.

•play me a
tune of sweet serenade
•sing me a song of wistful
melody•recite me the words
you would            have said•
now whisper me your sighs
tenderly•paint me the
colours of night and day•write
me the poem of your heart•send me
your love on which I lay•make me the
end to all your starts•strum me the chord
of hopeful bliss•compose me a ballad that
sets my innermost free•so play me your
tune, the one that I would always miss
•and keep singing of us in a song,
so we'd be immortalised in
eternity•

My dad was my superman when I was small,
I was thin as a skeleton and maybe some four feet tall
And I felt nothing in this world could ever harm me,
Because I knew he was the strongest and brightest of them all.

He carried me on his shoulders for hours at an end,
And more than a dad - he tried to be my friend
I had everything I could've asked for and then some more,
Life used to so much more colorful and magical back then.

And now I see my superman withering and falling grey,
He now looks nothing like the hero of my yesterday.
So many things I have kept hidden that I want to say
But I can do nothing as I slowly find my own way.

I'll never forgive him for ruining my delusion,
That nothing was even real and everything was a lie
And I'll pretend that whatever he was, was an illusion,
But even in my confusion, I see him through the same eyes.

And it makes it even more unbearable and full of pain,
That whoever he was back then, he'll never be the same
Only an ailing corpse with nothing better to do with his time,
I don't even know what he is now, he looks so strange.

Those memories, I won't be able to clear from my head,
And I would hate him as long as I live, till my last breath
When I see him dying, I have nothing but regret,
I loved him too much I guess and now I wish him dead.

My dad was my superman and now he's frail and old,
Sometimes I pretend that he died a long time ago
He was my everything but the age has taken its toll
And he's the reason why I can't love, he made me cold.

I remember how he used to make me smile and laugh,
Tell me that I was a piece of his soul and heart
Now I have nothing but empty tales to feed my being,
And I watch him slowly fading and it breaks me apart.

I hope he dies and I never have to see him again,
I know I am sick, but there's not a thing I can change
He should have kept his distance and now it's too late
I am his, and he's mine- but I can't take that blame.

It's almost revolting to see how pathetic he actually is,
Even the sight of him is enough to make me sick
I hope he knows how much I hated his magic tricks,
And he made everything magical, with that sly laugh of his.

My dad was my superman and I think he'll always be,
The reason it's too hard is because he means the world to me
And when I see him struggle, I wish I had never known,
That no matter how much you love someone-
someday they'll leave you alone.

If you asked me what I missed,
could I say anything at all?

Homework
and lost words.
Homeward.
and Route 12,
northbound.
Your smile poking its way through.
The tight black skirt,
more cleavage than tee shirt.
A walk or two,
and a view, straight through.
A meticulous routine to undress;
the wood-pellet stove keeping it hot.
The butterfly that was never caught.
Every box of Mike & Ikes bought.
An arbitrary laugh, a foreshadowing sunset-
a neck full of bruises and sweat.
The mocha-chip Thursday Nights at eight.
All the way back to a single Ferris wheel-
an ironically fatal first date.

If you asked me what I miss,
would I say anything at all?

My vulnerable heart beats just for you,
In tune with your every breath and step,
Its steady rhythm will always ring true,
For your love my heart will always be kept,

Mysterious beauty filled with pure bliss,
Your mesmerizing eyes they shine and gleam,
Deep and inspired our fortunes they kiss,
Reflecting bright shades of emerald green,

Strong yet calm your voice like a steady tide,
The words you gently whisper in my ear,
Masculine, mature cannot be disguised,
Relieve my timid heart of quiet fears,

But my lost heart cannot sing evermore,
Without you here to cherish and adore
