And just like Summer.
Your love warm and hot- like steam.
Coffee best serves two
She has no mirror
but where flirt the leaves with the pond
she comes in the cool of noon
mixing the dark of her hair
with the summer shade
dipping into glass green water
her toes and far above
and all the pond sees
encrypts within the bubbles of rainbow
that only her clothes
swelled in awe
can read.

It’s been awhile dear diary, How are you I would ask? Are you still fixated by the old love story you used to write daily in the past?

It’s been awhile teddy, How are you I would ask? Do you miss the times I would hug you every night every so afraid of the dark even though I had a night light?

It’s been awhile photos, How are you I would ask? I wonder why I smiled in every shot thinking the reason I was happy as that…

It’s been a while heart, How are you I would ask? Are you still fixated about your love story? Missing his hugs in everyday life? Or thinking the reasons you felt happy by his side?

It’s been awhile…
Love,

How are you I would ask?

Do you still remember our old love story?
Or the hugs I give you?
Perhaps maybe the smiles we had when we were together, smiling at each other.

It’s been a while

I hope you’re okay.

With the written love story of yours in that invitation

As you hug her in your arms both of you dressed in formal attire

And smiling sweetly captured in that altar

It’s been awhile since I cried, I wonder why?
Digging through my old poems found this one 8/15/2017

How can thoughts be real
They're not solid enough to touch
So how can someone manifest
A feeling such as love?
Can you
Hold it
Breathe it
Squeeze it in your hands
It's forcing us to trust
In the invisible
Once again

Because although you can't see it
  It can still disappear
Love is the sad song
That left you crying in your beer

Blind sided
It can hit you
And you best believe it's true
Love is as real
As the way I feel for you

If it is anything that describes my life, it is comparable to being a Goldfish. A Goldfish stuck inside a plastic bag. I can be floating at ease until someone traumatically shakes it, the water will begin to even out until everything starts shaking again. I lose my balance, I lay at the bottom yet I still have the courage to get back up again because I still have the capacity to try.

I've painted with insomnia,
with love, heartache, and worry.
I've brushed strokes with infectious apathy,
or at least what I believed it to be.
But my eyes are out of color now,
scraped blank with shaking hands.
Wilted with dusty jaded cries,
empty paint cans stare, blinking, at the sky,
Wandering, waiting
for anything to ignite the stars again.
As the sea of music tangles your spine
We dance together yet alone
Drowning and dancing in the blood beneath my veins
Fractured porcelain skin, stained-glass eyes that failed
As a kaleidoscope of debris plays war with my  mind
I wear the scent of you as a necklace
