Let not others get under your skin,
Do not react but instead respond.
For if you react then they will win,
You are giving them just what they want.
To react is all power to lose,
To respond gives them nothing to use.
If you can be the bigger person
And not react, then you will have won.

this pen is flowing ink through its tip
into my notebook of hardship and love
with a rubbery grip so my fingers don't slip
else I'd lose control
as the words flow through me
and become
a part of my soul

my body is creating poems through its hand
for the lost and broken brethren
where faith in Love is the rubbery grip
so the Spirit of Flow may take control
through these words as
they become
the art of my soul

it all comes down to volume
you find some people
who are turned up so loud
you cant hear anything else
and you find others
who have all but muted themselves

the melodies all go together
harmonies in symphonies
everyday parts of life.
but you'll find that some parts
drown out others.

the cacaphony:
screams of agony
as more than one falls
to the horrid beating of anxiety
our ribcages exploding and
the subsequent explosions
a chain reaction between
past and future
me and you
it booms

drowned out:
the soft tinkling of the rain
so delicate in its falling
that you cant help but smile
the laughs of children,
innocence pouring out of their mouths
the locking of eyes
from across the room
the simple sound
of me and you

barely heard:
the thrilling trill of adventure
that sings in the hearts of everybody
the minute buzz of a city
heard from a distance,
as light flows into the open sky
creating a masterpiece

and if you listen real close:
the soft utterances
of those with souls brave enough
to live one more sunrise
to live through the night
and the breath
of the world.

ohhh Soul raptured and captured
Fractured in moments of reciprocity
An outward doubt of censorship
Widening smiles of spoken misfortune

A tear, a mend, the exposed laughter
Tributes of adventure rouse the sheep
Rumoured lines of defensive solutions
Evolution with a tenancy of dissolution

Hearts of hearts, a distanced resolution
Insulated in clenched stimulant jokes
Introverted cells taking a pick of self
The ***, a sect, to solve and save the rest
Funny how comedians make fun of themselves. Inspired me to work on a long neglected comedy set..... here we go, I'll pick on myself!

We are none truly alone,
I've written of this before
I shall write of our souls
And the invisible chains, once more

We are all connected,
By these universal chains
From the beggar on the corner,
To the broker squandering gains

We are seven billion shades,
Different shades of the same hue
From me here in my mountains,
Across the earth to you

Whether you're a dancer,
Stepping to a tune
Or a night fisherman,
Gathering food, under the moon

These universal chains,
They bind us each together
That's what the universe wanted,
And so it is forever

Each time you defame,
Your fellow human across the way
You're defaming part of yourself,
So be careful what you say

This is how its been since the beginning
This is how it is until the end
Be kind to each other,
Remember we're all akin
Oh wow! Thank you my fellow poets. Thank you for reading and liking my words.<3
