Some, too fragile for winter winds
The thoughtful grave encloses—
Tenderly tucking them in from frost
Before their feet are cold.

Never the treasures in her nest
The cautious grave exposes,
Building where schoolboy dare not look,
And sportsman is not bold.

This covert have all the children
Early aged, and often cold,
Sparrow, unnoticed by the Father—
Lambs for whom time had not a fold.

Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat
and is getting strange looks from the family cat,
cleaning its claws and making them sharper,
if I were the goose then I would scarper.

Life is a drag
  we walk the weary mile
  I'll take a rest
though it be but a while
Don't you shake me!
I'm not a tree with hanging fruits
you'll be wasting your effort--verily-
and end up kicking with your boots!
Yesterday
was another land
a different language
was spoken then--

but today
a little I begin to understand
a new vocabulary has come to assuage
my mind has taken a different bent.

i felt incomplete
not knowing you
not knowing
where to find you
now i feel
incomplete
because now i know
exactly where you are
and it isn't here

let’s unwrap the gift of love...
Merry Christmas to y’all!
Unwrap the greatest gift, then share it to everyone, let’s make this world a little happier, merrier with our gift of genuine love!

Tonight I'll swim in your sweater
and I'll dream of waking up

in a soft nest of white gold
with your messy hair

teasing the freckles
off my tired nose.
