Battle Cry
Jessica Nov 2021
Her small hands encased in his,
Her heart beats in synchrony to his promises of ever lasting love,
but the battles he faces scream louder than the sound of her tears as she pleads for his warm embrace,
As he soldiers on to his upcoming war,
Her cries for him, are heard no more.

Still F(l)ighting
Jessica Nov 2021
Hanging off his every word
Like the child within, as free as a bird
But to everyone else, she is prey
In a world, that she too only wants to exist
Free from his thirst
That he calls 'love'

Thank-you my dearest,
Jessica May 2019
Your hands in mine,
Your breath on my skin,
I've never felt safe,
until the thoughts within,
Were all on you,
The promises you made,
The love that you shared,
The kiss that I saved,

So thank-you my dearest,
For the light that you have shone,
After everything you've said,
My worries are gone!

Be my saviour.
Jessica May 2019
Fed up of hiding in the gallows,
Your opinion of me is beyond shallow,
You do not see the tears that I cover,
Fed up with myself, more love for another,
Full of hope, but scared of failure,
Please help me, be my saviour!

Yours sincerely...
Jessica Aug 2020
You left without saying goodbye, you never gave me a reason, you made me cry,

Day and night I would wonder what I’d done, why I was no longer being called the one,

You used to share everything, a hug, a kiss, your whole self,
But you left me beaten, on my knees begging for my health,

You knew you were using it against me, you knew how much I cared
But were more than happy to destroy me, and the love that we once shared,

I still cry for you J, and I’m not sure if I will ever stop,
Despite the cheating, lying and games, I always put you on top
Of my list of priorities and the reasons why I’d belong,

But I have a voice inside my head, saying that I’m still strong
Enough to get over you, and the way you treated me

Goodbye JW, yours sincerely!
