My eyes burn with sleep
As I prepare my body
For basic presentation
But I just want to lie here
Drowsy and calm
I don’t want to work
Just sleep
She wanted me sedated
So I wouldn’t try anything
And ****... it works

I could scream at you
I could punch you
But no good would it do
For neither me or you

Although my anger is still hot
I'm cooling it down with the breath I've caught

My soul was hanging on his wine glass
He smirked as he grabbed my ***
One night of secret and lies between my thighs
I smiled as I looked into his eyes
Betrayal was my guide
My heart cried
He held my chin and whispered, "let's do it again"
My self doubt was in
I call you love

But not as an endearment.

I call you love

Because that is what you are.

We are all love

Walking around in a human form;

And one day we will return to love.

The rain came down,
and it keeps coming down,
so nourishing to the parched earth
yet so gloomy and low. It fits the mood.
An event that must happen, for the world to survive
But that, in the moment, only feels like a dreary moodsetter on a blustery day.
It isn’t too dark out. Despite the rain coming down in torrents, it’s still bright.
As I drive along the highway I see that rays of
sunshine are poking out from behind the clouds, and I think that,
somewhere along the distance, from the right vantage, where the brilliant sun rays
hit the storm droplets at just the right angle, there might be a rainbow
somewhere.
Just too far gone down the road for me to see it.
