There was always someone
Better than her
Prettier than her
Smarter than her
Loved more than her

She couldn't figure out
Why she didn't measure up
Why she wasn't good enough
Why she never made the cut
Why she couldn't be anyone's number one.

Second choice.
That's all she was,
All she's ever been,
