We have the same sky

But different timezone

We have the same burning orbit that spreads light

But revolves in different phase

We stare at the same star

But burns differently

For the path we take will never cross at all

Because you and me

Will be forever lost

You have your day and i have my night

Your garden flourish with abudant of love

And mine wither and died

We long for each other’s arms

Wishing to be together again

But distance keeping us apart

Time is not on our side

For it will never be

Because you and me

Will be forever

Chasing one goal

Our pride kills us

You won’t back down

So do i

We end up losing grasp to want we wanted

Two hearts become one

One heart full of love

Ended living in separate world
this is what happen when pride takes over. You can overcome distance but doubts and pride will end your relationship.
Long distance
1500 miles
44 days to walk
Who cares?

If you love me
As I love you
We're not apart
Despite the the miles

We are together
Together at heart
Distance matters to minds
But hearts don't care

We fell in love
Long distance
We'll stay in love
Long distance

Our hearts are together
Though we're far apart
Though we fell in love
Long distance
Talking long distance to you online
I feel I know you even though we've never met
I know your feelings, your quirks
Your wants, your needs
I love you for who I've come to see plastered on my computer screen.

A thin pane of glass
Sits between you and me
Yet I somehow know
That it is meant to be

Distance has a particular way of hurting:
It begins slowly, and is self-contained.
Because our mothers would often speak about Love,
and how everything falls helpless in Love,
Distance becomes a housebroken dog.
It is powerless, and whilst I love, I am powerful.
On Sunday, our fathers would teach us to put our faith in things unseen,
and so we grow confident and complacent.
Just when you think you’ve understood it,
It sinks its teeth in hard and deep.

An idealist tries to make it out light and easy
They will often write poems about finding
ideal love in the real world.
But I will write about knowing
real love misplaced in an ideal world.
It’s a world where comfort could come in binary files
filled with digital empathy and memories.
Where typed words and numbers that form
black and white promises could replace
the real and organic voice of reassurance.
Where wires between my webcams and your headsets
could entangle themselves in ways our fingers
used to be intertwined.
Where waiting for an email meant as much as
waiting for you to return home to me.
Where the strategic positioning of your punctuation marks
could transform these passive symbols
into active symbols of love and concern:

A comma, like a shared pause for when our eyes meet
Exclamation marks for when we wave to each other from across the street,
or as a passionate gesture from underneath these sheets.
A question mark for when you’re sick and I am by your bed
Worried, because you wouldn’t eat.
A semicolon for when we argue,
and a full stop for when we finally give in.
A parenthesis for containing moments of vulnerability
that only seem to leak out late at night.

You won’t know it but,
I dream mostly of an online conversation,
filled with time stamps that affirm your presence.
If I’m lucky, I will find an ellipsis
Small creatures of continuity with
heads heavy with hesitation.

And - if I’m really lucky,
I’d undo those black buttons of suspense
and see you once more.
They ask me if I still love you.

I blush, grin and say;

of course.

Why?

Because your eyes are of the most utter ocean blue,

but other days they're the currents of the stormy grey sea.

I see a current of salty water, deep, once blue, but now a faded grey.

I see a bundle of darkened grey clouds in the distance,

and the thunder rumbles from your irises,

and I hear it pound in the back of my mind.

I wonder if you knew.

I see a spark of lightening flash, only once in a while,

while you look at her.

My throat corrodes with bile.

She says she sees green demons lurking in the depth of my own ocean currents,

and I shrug.

What am I supposed to say?

I know you think about her.

Night and day.

The hardest part,

is a generic, old saying.

If you love them,

you let them go.

If they love you enough to stay,

or to come back,

you never let go.

But you haven't come back.
EDIT: Wow. Never expected this to blow up as big as it did. I thank you all so much!
EDIT: 2/15/14
i would say i never loved you, but that is a lie.
they say that your *first* love makes *you realize*, your first *love* wasnt really your first.
i pray for the day this happens.
*getting over you was the best thing i ever did.
and i did it for myself.*
so, one last:
*******.
you.***
EDIT: 9/14/14
i still hate you.
and you don't deserve her.
EDIT:   12/01/14
im sorry. you still arent
the same person
and neither is she.
but we all grow up.

EDIT
10/14/20
I was going through my bookmarks
on my old computer and found my old writings.
I just wanted to update this one last time to say things are better,
things are good. Thanks again for all the likes and comments.
Never fall in love with a poet
for their words are sometimes lies
on occasions they're a shield
on occasions a disguise

They will take you on a journey
upon which they bare their soul
in a bid to ease your burdens
in a bid to make you whole

But in every word they choose
for the stories that they tell
lies a little piece of heaven
and a little piece of hell

Tormented souls we poets are
sometimes quite broken and despaired
in search of lost expressions
missed by others who once cared

Never fall in love with a poet
unless you're prepared to share their pain
to hold them close on the darkest nights
over and again

What do you see when you think and look at me? I have many imperfections.

Too often we find ourselves focusing on those imperfections and we let them define us.
We worry how others may perceive us.
We should embrace our imperfections as they are what makes us who we are.
They make us unique.
What others may think of us is not our problem, it is not within our control.
If people think less of us for our imperfections then when don’t need them in our lives.

You and your perfect imperfections is who I fell for over the 12 months and who I am still deeply mad for.

All I see when I look and think of you is you.

A beautiful you.

A spectacular you.

A stunning you.

Perfect you
I can remember every time we talked you would light up my heart

Just listening to your voice is always soothing and warming and you would hold me captive on every word you spoke

Every time we finished talking my Excitement and Anticipation would grow, waiting for that next conversation, that next little joke, that next little laugh, the next uttering of “Hunny Bear” from you and “Princess” from me.

I’m hopeful of a time when we might have those loving conversations again.

A time when I can feel your touch again, a touch that envelops me like a warm feather quilt on a cold winter’s night.

When I can see your smile again, a smile that showers me with your bubbly enthusiasm for life and infectious happiness

To see your eyes, your beautiful eyes that allow me to see deep into your loving and caring soul.

I remember when waking up next to you, I would look at you and feel more love for you than when I fell asleep just a few short hours earlier.

I have many dreams I hope we can one day share, one such dream is to watch the sunset, stay up all night and to see the sunrise for your next birthday on a tropical island.

I hope that we can let love fight through all the bad that has happened and for us to explore a fantastic future together one day.
