There You Were
Genesis Jamphong Oct 2017
There you were, on a bible-thick book
Flapping pages of clearly unwanted bound
Somewhat a story of you and me:
Words noticed but thoughts unsunk
Sitting in solitude amidst the crowd
Of shelves of untouched narratives

Hair glistening, hanging, covering half
A face of calm, peace, and gentleness
Eyes that give nonstriking stares
Curved lashes like drawn waves
Snub-nosed rather adorable and pleasing
Complimentary to that perpetually smiled lips

Blissfulness glows in your image

Until the first light
Genesis Jamphong May 2018
Let's lose ourselves
In the rhythm of our mouths
Vacuuming and tasting each other
And syncronized heavy breathing
As waves come crashing onto our stationary    bodies half afloat by the shore
Under the dark skies of dawn
Until the first light
Tighter and tighter our arms wrap each other
Tighter and tighter as well our affections get

Troubled in Social Media

Clicking fingers typing away feelings
Sad-mad clad with smiles publicly exposed
"Imma look happy" your pic says in post,
Yet in another, as though leaves falling.
Feed filled with furious, angry words that mock.
Subtly seeking gentle tap on the back
Or bent down of head for a slight mild whack
Fast-paced tapping, eyes on screen round the clock.
Go away then from that white bird and "f."
Strike a match. Turn to ashes that pink cam.
Unglance from the ghost feat dog-faced pictures.
Enjoy, run around, show off that quiff.
Strive, be on top of things, as though a ram.
The world ain't just ones and zeros but pastures.

We started off like a shot of brandy:
Burning sensation gushing through our innards
Sudden warming up of bodies
Wanting more testing our limits

At each succeeding pour
Emotions, actions at intense levels increase;
Both an open book
Reading each other's genre

But light headedness comes
Where one refuses the shot,
Disgusted, gagging, had too much
And all that started off with a shot of brandy
Now a pile of vile bile
Love breakup brandy unlove

Youre a hundred-million-dollar lottery win,
Or even more
For a guy like me who is worth ****.

I'd make sure i don't squander you around
Not put you to waste
Such stupidity,
Such loss it would be
For a guy like me who is worth ****
To lose such huge a prize,
Such an unexpected gift.

In Red-Orange Hue
Genesis Jamphong May 2018
Our Farewells are sunsets
Slowly you sink into the horizon
Beautiful as red-orange hue
Leaving me in reverie
Of the day, hours, minutes spent
Enthusiastic for tomorrow's
And the next's sunrise
As you emerge and break light
In red-orange hue
