for this restless almost breathless
feeling  in my chest -

the opposite of a bluebird
- a ******* crow, at best

a last call cawing
or is it a raven's kraa-kraa

this feeling -
like a shadow in clothes
- a fly in the eye of those

who pray for repose
of my soul.

The touch of your hand on the back of my neck.
The smell of your perfume after you've gone.
The feeling of love when we kiss.
The warmth of your body when you cuddle up close.
You smile.
I smile.
I close my eyes.
You are always on my mind.
The familiar sound of your Spanish accent.
No one else comes close.
No one can make me feel the way you make me feel.
You consume me.

Of emotion
