Just like the sunlight leaks
Through the blinds in my window
My sweetest memories of you
Force themselves into my mind

From your flawless appearance
To your beautiful vibes
You are an unforgettable sensation
And I wish you were mine once more

It’s been thirteen months and I’ve forgotten your scent. I don’t remember the way it feels for your fingertips to brush against my bare skin. I can’t recall the spark that would reignite every time our lips came in contact. I can’t remember the way your tongue would taste in the early hours of the day. I don’t even remember what your voice sounded like whispering through the phone at 5am. But it’s been thirteen months, and I won’t dare forget the way it felt to watch you walk out of my life just as quickly and unexpectedly as you walked into it.

He listened
To her laugh
As if it was a symphony
And she hung
On his words
Like they were vines

Another little excerpt from a short story I wrote a couple months ago.

Legion
When you see her cry
     you get a rag,
a gentle delicate cloth.
                                        Lovingly grasp her hand
                                               and dab its tip;
dry each tear as they come.
                                                                                          And ask each drop
                                                                                               why it'd leave
                                                                                          such beautiful eyes.

  If she wishes
to be in the sky,
  tell her to go.
                              Take the sun ransom,
                              and replace its shining
                                    with her own.
So you can see her every morning
                                                                                   and wish for her
                                                                                  return each night.

When you see her scars
  both visible and non-
    touch each gently.
                                             And remind her
                                       that each and every hurt
                                            she has survived,
                                                                                        has only made her
                                                                                   that much more unique;
                                                                                       that much stronger.

  Show her that she
  is a special person
and is worthy of love.
                                     That she deserves the love
                                            she fears to give...
                                            show her so that
                                                                                 one day after you're gone
                                                                                  she can find the strength
                                                                                    to go on without you.

    Tell her that while
she might not be a goddess
far above worldly desires,
                                          that she is amazing,
                                         for just being herself
                                    for being that beautiful girl
                                                                               who thinks herself damaged
                                                                                  when in truth she's just
                                                                                a different kind of beautiful.

   And finally, love her.
Like a boy loves a girl
Till she finally remembers
                                            that that's what she is:
not a scar, not a goddess,
not a star. But a girl.
                                                                                    That deserves to be loved.
i have to write about my prince charming, my ideal mate, and i realized that
i don't want a prince charming because i have you

prince charming is unrealistic. he's myths
and sexism and fake smiles and too shiny eyes and
weird capes and way too soft lips and gelled hair
and excessive chivalry

but you...

you are real

you are flesh and skin and bones
and past mistakes and happiness
and pain and love and lust and hugs that linger
and smiles that stay implemented into my brain
and frustration and kindness and dreams
and oblivious and tolerant and you

you're you and that's really all i could ask for
this is a little cheesy but i havent written in a little while

boy frustrations ****
