Some poets not of meekness but of valor
When the pen not the sword they chose
In a quiet solitude in earnest labour
With ink of tears in their lyrical woes

Write in sober or when they're drunk
With passion with a yearn in every heart
Or write in sadness in a chair they sunk
While some write for the sake of their art
Flying thoughts
In the spirits of spiritual waves
Landing in beautiful landscape
...
I am not my name
I am not a martial status
I am not my job
I am not who you perceive I might be
I am not even this body
I am spirit

No one knows me
like the girl with the paint covered hands back home
Yeah, you would show me I had something some people call a soul
The only person I'd choose to grow old
I'm lucky it only took me till I was twenty four years old
Whispered delicate loving affirmations and my mind was sold
You took a hold of me and never let me go
Never letting me forget just go with the flow
I can honestly say in the center of my chest
She's the absolute love and knows what's best
I look forward to the tomorrows
And returning to home
To the girl with the paint covered hands
Cause no one knows me like her
She's got my heart and my soul
I'll always come home Annie, to wherever you are.

Mother Nature ran a want ad
In this year's Farmers Almanac

Seems these days she's wearing thin
With the progress made by modern man

She needs a little extra help
With the here and there and there about

The whole earth needs a good sweeping
From the ocean floors to the river streams

From high above to down below
All of the trash that has been thrown

With all the extra dust around
She can't keep up with the dusting down

That is why she placed the ad
In hopes of getting help with that

Resumes started pouring fast
From North to South, East to West

So many from around the globe
Who would have guessed, who could have known

There were so many that were keen
In wanting to keep the Planet clean

Right then and there on the spot
She hired them all, the entire lot

She gave them brooms, their own dust pans
Sent them all throughout the land

To every crevice, to every crook
To give the world a spit shine look

So many helpers worked that day
Into the yawning wee hours late

Until the earth was **** and span
Every water splash, every grain of sand

From underneath to over top
Everyone had cleaned it up

Bi-weekly now she runs the ad
Inside the Farmers Almanac

she kept dreaming
of him breaking
nightmares plaguing
wake up shaking

****** body on red pavement
or holes in the wall
frustration dwelling anger burning
all ended with a call

him saying "i need you"
wishing her to be there
but she never showed up
he'd hang up with "you don't care"

she heard all of it
through a broken voice
but in each dream she couldn't move
she would if it were her choice

she just sat and pictured him alone
where she should be by his side
over and over letting him down
her presence she did not provide

love yourself
get lost
in your own eyes
let any tears
that touch your cheeks
turn your lashes
to gardens
