Awaken, my children,
for the moment is right,
have no worries
wandering in the night.
Blind you may be
and hearts full of fright;
in time fortunes will steer
and you instead will plant
the seeds of fear.

I miss you now

I mean I’ve always missed you but now
NOW
I miss you

It’s like a longing
Borderline ache
& when I think of myself aching

It’s under your grasp
Hand on my throat &
Lips on my neck

As if under a spell
But this was cast long ago
So why am I still aching

These thoughts have me breaking
Slowly
Slowwllyyy

Snap

blood BOILING
nostrils flared
can't believe I ever cared
fists clenched
drenched in rage
now on a completely new page
I erupt
but those around
remind me that I am
just a sparkler
not a fire
and so my anger must retire
good riddance
I'll be dancing
dressed in silver
matching the stars

BACH FOR CHRISTMAS! (for my pal Al)

The church orchestra
search around for an
E sharp.

The conductor blows his nose.

But as the oboe player points out:
'That's in F sharp! '

They laugh.

The singer
starts singing

words like
stepping across ice as it cracks:

'In the beginning
was the Word
and the Word was
...lilac! '

Yet more laughter.

The stained glass listens
to their musical tomfoolery

as they practice their perfection
& the rehearsals drag on.

Tonight it will be
nothing but Holy.

A pagan tree
cowers in a corner

all Christmasy.

A church hanging
proclaiming:

'Praise him
hail and lightning! '

As we two
lost souls

delight in
the music

of being
...human!

He's very caring about his family,
And not only that, dear readers,
To every poet, he is so fatherly.

He's your most regular reader,
His words are so encouraging,
He is The Caring Corvus here.

He's the guiding light for new poets,
His profile is not available right now,
The Raven on the tree of Hello Poetry.
