Dance you will?
The chant
You hear it?
The violin...
The piano...
An orchestra...
The sun goes down,
The moon comes up,
Stars are gathering around on the skye,
Fireflies hanging from walls.
And you my dear,
This night is yours with this first dance.
Let me crown you as an empress.

She stood tall,
Slender,
Flamboyant as she swirls,
Encapsulating dreams while dancing,
In a come-die ballet, from times evaporation,
Playing hysterics in magical fire dance of ritual celebrations,
Playing games of passion creations,
Such beauty in an aura of pleasure and pain,
In rigaudon she pastes her grace,
For she is not a dancer,
For she is my quill,
The dancing pen removes my ills.

Like a gazelle she ballets with gracefulness
Like a ballerina
Dancing to Dance of the Little Swans
With beauty and grace
Oh let me see thy fair face,
Sweet sister of mine
Let me watch you ballet gracefully
Through woods, fields, and meadows
She sleeps soundly in a bed of ferns
Oh sweet sister of mine
With the most prettiest satin wings you ever saw
And a pretty pink flowing gown
And soft pale pink ballet slippers
With the most pristine pink ribbons
Tied around her delicate ankles
She ballets, Oh sister of mine
With a crown of baby rosebuds on her
Head
And rosettes on her gown
She dances with delight, Oh, fair sister of mine
She dances even more beautifully
And gracefully
Than the yellow sunflowers
Of gold that waltz in fields and meadows
Dance for me, Oh fair sister of mine
Dance to me on hills of sublime green
Dance, Oh, beautiful sister of mine
Ballet for me gracefully like the
Lotus ballets upon the sapphire lake
Ballet Oh, sweetest sister of mine
Waltz for me in a field of dancing flowers
Waltz for me, Oh, dear sister of mine
I love you, oh, graceful sister of mine

Having never
mastered the
rotational demands
of dancing
I stand alone
in this
forsaken corner,
my toes
corkscrewed
discreetly
into the
carpet

It feels like I'm flying
Like I'm on top
I may not be the best
But I'm not trying to win
Music playing
Pulling me in
I might not be a dancer
But when I'm dancing
I don't want to stop

Let's share one more moment
It's will be our last dance
Play the soft melodic music
This is our last chance

Slow down
You'll leave after this
The music stops
I've last kiss
*I love you

I tie the strings of my toe shoes
And I smile
This is more of them a hobby
I realize
I am a dancer
I always will be
And people tell me dancing is a distant dream
But I've never felt closer
And as I'll never let go of dancing
I'll let go of the bar that tells the world of the progress I've made
I Am A Dancer

These city lights are too big,
For this girl's small town dreams,
Everyday she ties up her ballet shoes,
With hope woven in the seams.

Her light blonde hair tied in a bun,
She pirouettes beneath the sun,
In the hope of a hopeful stranger,
To pull her dreams away from danger,
Of breaking into two withered parts,
Before her chance in the spotlight even starts.

I lost her.
Where did she go?
I hear her voice.
It's coming from the studio.
Against my better judgement.
I follow.
I don't dance.
I don't have a dancer's body.
Music.
My heart races.  I hate this.
The mirrors surround me.
Where is she?
I can't do this without her.
I'm short.
Fat.
Mirrors.
Suddenly, I can't breathe.
I close my eyes.
Open them.
Eyes front.
Ready to fight alone.
Then I saw HER.
As the music played, she let the rhythm pulsate through her body.
The vocals moved her spirit.
The percussion moved her feet.
She had enough curves to move with each instrument.
And so she danced.
She was bursting with sensuality.
Aware of the power of her swaying hips.
Her smile hypnotized me.
The fluidity of her body seduced me.
No.
I must not give in.
I feel weak.
One sway consumes me.
I am defeated.
And so I let her dance
Back into my soul.

Piqué, piqué, piqué, pirouette.

Arabesque. I stand there and you spin me around en pointe.
You complete me. We dance and the music is like the background
To our focal point.
We are the centre stage.

Echappé, échappé, relevé.
Pas de chat ensemble.
Repeat à l’autre côté.

You take your hands from my waist now.
We need to complete the choreography.
And I feel lonely without you,
Although you are just on the other side of the room,
By the stereo.
I miss you.

Dancers fall for their partners all the time,
So I will never tell you how I feel
Because love will be the thing to tear us apart.

Hon, I always wanted to dance with you
But you just  let me dance with my shadow

Every step I make, I feel you are there
Though even a little bit you do not care

Alas! I felt those warm hands holding mine
While my eyes are closed, I can feel the twine

Just to be surprised it is not you, dear
You are there watching, cannot hide your sneer

Hon, I always wanted to dance with you
But you just  let me dance with my shadow.
