You were a woman of soft grey
skirts and glasses; a little boy in tow at
the place that we met.
As the years pounded by, you became
my pasture of Heaven and my honeysuckle friend.
Your waterfall love washed over me.
It cleansed me like a violet stream,
dappled by the leaves on
the cottonwood trees.

Once I dreamed that we flew together on
the back of a bluebird and laughed until
our jaws ached, and we ate honeydew until the
juice ran down our face and dripped onto
the bird's wings.

But we always wake from dreams,
and birds fly away and build nests;
yet, I know that the light which shines
through you; that exudes from your soul
will always be my heat and my feather.

Rain on a flower
Rain on me
The sky has a plan
Tomorrow you will see
The sun shine again
In light of today's dream
Our maths teacher wasn’t amused.

He solved hard problems for us
taught sincerely in the class
but the moment he held the pen
sweats would flood his palm
like a nagging rain
that his army of handkerchief
couldn’t bring any relief
with the dripping moisture
like a school of sharks
devoured our paper’s ink marks
and from the workouts already done
steps were wiped out one by one.

At those times he wouldn’t speak
only looked at us apologetic
burdened as if with guilt’s weight
for the treachery of his ceaseless sweat
that forced him to desist from anymore writing
close his pen and start dictating.

Then one day we saw him bring out a cream
his agony had reached such an extreme
with that he rubbed his palms with glee
looked he had solved a great mystery
said now this would lock all the doors
stop sweat’s pour through skin’s pores
.
We will fulfill LOVE's promises
The sun, the moon, the stars, the night
We will fulfill LOVE's vows
The flowers, the clouds, the breeze, the birds
Our LOVE will remain like this nature's bounty

When fate made us meet
We met at the horizon
Where the sky meets the earth

When LOVE happened between us
The BLUE became red, yellow and orange

We've experienced a blissful heaven
Where all inner-flowers bloom
And our heart-bees hum
As if we have found our SOUL
Made for each other

We became each other's
Candle and light
Moon and stars
Clouds and rain
Sun and sunshine
Sadness and tears
Joys and happiness

Our souls-connect awakened
All colors of dormant LOVE
Like a single rainbow of VIBGYOR

Come and let us become ONE forever
Let us fulfill our LOVE's promises
Let us fulfill our LOVE's vows

Even as strangers -
Our LOVE recognized each other
Our happiness and sadness merged
Into LOVE's joyful tears

Our LOVE story shows the world
True LOVE never dies
True LOVE lives forever
Such mad and true LOVERS
Like Romeo-Zuliet, Layla Majnun -
Our LOVE re-creates LOVE's essentials

How much ever the mind tries to reason out
"Oh heart, please do not LOVE"
But...
Like the moon glowing
In dark sky of the night
Like the sun shining
In the blue skies of the day
Our LOVE could not be hidden
By any human practicality prisons

The heart where LOVE flames are ignited
The coals catches the ember glow
Is the sanctum of LOVE's idol
The molten lava of LOVE
Melts the life's hardened stone-rocks

Let our life take us any where
Unaware of the journey
And/or the destination
Let it not change our LOVE a bit
In attempt to live life
Seeking "Spiritual enlightenment"
Let us worship with devotion
Our LOVE's divine blessings
Because...
LOVE is our NIRVANA

Our bond of LOVE is strong
As strong as nature's permanence

We will unite in ONE-LOVE within our core
Like two galaxies merging into ONE Black-Hole

You're an afterimage
You shine so bright upon me

You're an inducement
Your eyes draw me forth

You're a vibration
Your voice shivers my spine

You're a compression
Your legs wrap about my will

Here I am now
My fatal sweet
Waiting to be consumed
Over the years I stop at that point
only to board a vessel
to the other side of the river
for further journey to the sea
but for the brief period of waiting
I keep pondering about the name of the place

Harwood Point.

Who was this Harwood?
what was he doing here?
what good deed made him deserving
to name the place after him?

I am still baffled
after a quarter of a century.

Googling throws up many Harwoods
dead and distinguished
but there's no clue to connect any of them with
Harwood Point.

I imagine he was one of the administrators
who left the shore of England
to be stationed at this place a century or two ago
then a tract of almost inaccessible jungle
for surveying the prospects of trade
for the East India Company
but that leads me to further questions.

Was he a noble soul that loved the place
and came to like the people there
so much so that the natives after his departure
made his name permanently etched there?

Or was he among those typical British Officers
who vented their wrath for having been interned
to a god forsaken mangrove wilderness
treated the natives with extreme disdain
proving himself worthy of his position
and duly rewarded by his masters
by making him a part of history
ironically undefined and unrecorded.

I love to think though
on a night when the moon
made the tide rebellious
he walked into the river
and was lost for good
and to this day none knows for sure
what happened to Mr. Harwood.

Home Bound
Almost home
Never more to roam.

Home bound.
Just up the road.
Soon I’ll be home.

Home bound
The tolls left behind.
Far away from home.

Home bound.
Where My Love lives.
We’ll never more roam.

Home bound.
The lights are on.
I’m almost home.

Home bound.
Where love is forever.
Nothing like being home.

I am home  now.
