There isn't a person
in this world
who has
not
said or done
something they
deeply regret.
And it's
okay.

We're only human.
We're not programmed
to be flawless.

Naturally we would want to:

lock it up,
toss the key,
walk ahead,
never look back.
Pray that it remains
buried or lost in the
shadows so that society
never finds out.
Given the opportunity,
they would relish
in the chance to
tear us apart.
Drag us up and
down on the media.
Because only in our
moments of weakness
they can forget their
own imperfections.

Sad but hey, that's society now...

Just know that making
a mistake is natural
Owning up to what
you did takes
courage.

Just remember this, don't forget your mistakes, ok?

Never forget.
Because to know
who you are,
you need to

remember where you came from.
Such is life...
Only 22 and I can admit and acknowledge some big mistakes.
Things I'm ashamed off...
But hey, that's life!
As sad as I am, as scared as I am, as angry and hurt as I am, I'm still here.
Even when I feel like wanting to die, I'm still here.
My story isn't over. Not yet anyway.

Be back soon!

write, don't read
but some guy on the subway
he got up next to me
he said

write poems not letters

& it felt like a crowning and borning but my god

it still hurt like hell
nobody better know me
nobody better think they own me
I am so freakin mean

I have half a killed
so many men

this is my simple
confession
Objects in the mirror are never what they appear to be.

twins get to sleep in the living room on weekends
sitting at my desk, I can hear them talking
their bond is tighter than anything

and finally, in bits & pieces, love slips in
in spite of myself, hearing my girls talking
is as good as I can imagine it will get

& Ramona tells me
"Mom, just caaaaallllm down"
Sasha threatens me with dire things

now demanding musical instruments
how can one think of anything else
when Sashie is using my own voice
perfect imitation of a mommy driven

over
the
edge. . . .

now they just found the moon outside the window,
my girls taunt moon, calling him out, teasing

"hey look" they cry "it's morning"

so many giggles, I am covered in girlies
who rain down giggles upon me & moon

moon & me both hide our faces
in front of such joy
they are less than 4 and a half now, holy god, imagine what's to come
(so this is not the ****** poem I was hoping to write this evening!)

you're not even selfish;
would u call the universe selfish!?

Medusa turns to face you and replies,
in monotone, like a dirge:

Yes. The Universe insists upon itself.
That is a certainty. I would call the Universe
Down upon my very head if needed
to say simply this:

Our Universe, Our Call.
My Universe is Willful,
Playful, Immoral as Hell.

Let it roll.

rapping on your window, wondering if you'll let me in
all the gals down on the E train placed bets on you
saying no, but here we are, back at your door
anyway, because why not have faith in luck

wearing my stolen blue mink, don't tell me if she wants it back
she don't know me, nobody invited her anyway
maybe outer space has bigger plans for her
could be

so come on, johnny, take me dancing, c'mon, baby
let me in, it's warm up on your roof but cold without you
look, stole you magnolias, and my whole back seat is full
excellent Chinese takeout, so baby come out tonight

just come on out and show me around this ten cent town
never been here before, wanna see your hideouts
let's go to some dive bars, dance til our heels fall off
you can wear my blue mink if you'll loan me those

crazy spiked boots, toss me a hat
here we go, finally, a night on this town
can't wait to see Spanish Harlem
with you

With a burning desire
The hearts of men are pervaded with doubts
About what their future seems like
Decisions they take appears to be right
But things still don't work out

They're bewildered by the nature of life ,
What they don't understand is that the time isn't right
They try and try but it all goes into the sky

They wonder where the problem protudes from
But the fact is ,"Men only want to acquire
But they obliviate to inquire"

At times
You wonder why life seems so tight
You try to do things right
But all efforts goes futile

You aim at the stars
Yet you fall on granites
When your hopes gets high
Everything seems to be working right
Suddenly it just flows down like drops of rain from the sky

Surrounding you are people gaining new heights
But its just like you're stagnant

Your plight is just so appalling

But
Do you ever wonder why??
Do you ever think of what's left, not right??

You see,The Great wall of China wasn't built in a night
Neither did Edison invent light in his second flight

All you have to do is just try till your time is right

As I looked into your eyes
I knew something was wrong
And then you said goodbye
We had been together too long

You said you didn't feel for me
The same way I did for you
And after years of our love
We were actually through

I said you won't go
You said you can't stay
But how was I supposed to know
It would all end that day

I told you how much I would miss
Each and every day
And that was when we kissed
And you turned and walked away.

Mary Gay Kearns
He left her for the keys
Standing in the hall
Shamefaced secret.

She watched him
Walk down the road
To catch the bus.

We all know wrong doing
And do it anyway
Never seeing.

They had been on the bed
A bunch of keys
To his office.

She had moved them
To under the bed
Out of view.

He needed them for work
At Hyde Park Corner
To open building.

Had she seen them
‘No’, she said.
Lied.

Her brother got blamed
After keys were found,
She kept silent.

This is one act of cowardice
One thoughtlessness
Never to be repeated.

Love Mary x
Sorry mum and dad and dear brother Richard.

I SIT HERE DRENCHED IN THE
BLOOD OF ONE OF THE NATIVES.
WE CAPTURED THE LAND AND
HIS MIND WITH OUR ALTERED
EDUCATION, IT WORKED LIKE
AN ANAESTHETIC, OR BETTER,
A SEDATIVE. HE PONDERED ON
WHETHER OR NOT HE IS HUMAN
WHILE WE BEGAN PLOUGHING
HIS SOIL. HE AWOKE FROM HIS
DAYDREAM, TO OUR AMAZEMENT,
WE THOUGHT WE HAD HIM FOILED.
HE RALLIED HIS MEN, THEY DID NOT
HESITATE. I WILL GIVE IT TO THEM,
THEY ARE ARMOURED WITH THE BRAVERY
AND THE STRENGTH OF A THOUSAND APES.
BUT IT WAS TOO LATE, WE SLAUGHTERED
THEM FROM A DISTANCE, AND TOOK CONTROL
OF THEIR CHILDREN, WIVES AND MAIDS.
SPEAKING OF CHILDREN, HOW GOES OUR
SWEET DAUGHTER ROSE? I MISS HER
DEARLY AND I LOOK FORWARD TO
EMBRACING HER WITH FATHERLY
LOVE WHEN THIS WAR COMES TO A CLOSE.

UNTIL WE MEET,
