SE Reimer
a dear friend asked just yesterday
how does your marriage last
thirty years and counting, friend
would have to challenge even the best
two words said i
that's all it takes
“making love” a marriage makes
but please consider my definition
before you reach the wrong conclusion

they call it making love
but when synonymous with
one night stand
a party grand…
really?

inflicts only a world of hurt
a soul bruised and burnt
call it what you want
but for certainty
love making it is not

you may disagree with me
but you’ll not disagree with this
the objectification of
our dear and fairer gender
never built a civilization
a community
or a family
only a heartache

love making then is work
love making begins
by dating those we love
not just for the win
but for life

more parts are we
than only one
love making it cannot be
until all three
a body undressed
a soul vulnerable
a spirit transparent
are undone completely

love making
the complete package
the whole enchilada
it’s a full meal deal
and inseparable from
talking
walking
working
calling
sending cards
touching
cuddling
holding hands
tender whispers
kissing softly
hugging gently
need i go on?

because when done right
amazing are the nights
but oh, even so much more
are the days,
the months
and the years!

now...

**go make love!
a couple of words added, and credited to a man with Soul!

Post Script:

to any naysayers...
please know that i know this is an opinion rendered by this writer
it does not reflect the views of the sponsors, advertisers or management of this station
furthermore, while i may feel sad for those who believe otherwise,
i neither judge nor hate anyone who calls it something different.
i merely hope to challenge those beliefs and suggest
that a less painful path lies just over yonder hillside

What  a  strange  day.
This  morning  was  dark,
damp  and  foggy.
A  real  winter  morn.

This  afternoon  it's  cleared  up.
The  sun  has  come  out.
And  it's  quite  springlike.

Viseract
Trying to resist
The chains suppressing me
Pulling tight, steel bites
Preventing the instinct to flee

So I fight
Throw a punch, skip right
Not dodging enough hits
Peer pressure, my death?
Well, it fits

The Lunchtime Poet
You were there
from day one
You are my father
I am your son

First taught me to walk.
Then taught me to run
You are my father
I am your son

Fished with me
in the hot summer sun
You are my father
I am your son

Gladly accepted
each girls heart I won
You are my father
I am your son

Taught me to drive
that stick it was fun
You are my father
I am your son

Saw me off to the army
my adult life begun
You are my father
I am your son

Now I am married
perhaps a grandson
You are my father
I am your son

The angels came calling
your time here is done
You are my father
I am your son

I really miss you
this grief weighs a ton
You are my father
I am your son

You'll always be my father
now I've become one
I am the father
I have a son

I hope I do not disappoint
for I am merely me
Just a common average man
nothing much to see

No one all that special
a normal kind of guy
I smile when I am happy
and when I’m sad I cry

Perhaps a little overweight
I do not dress in style
Wrinkles where they shouldn’t be
they’ve been there for a while

No Prince Charming on a steed
a flowing lush estate
Nor a white knight armor clad
a sentry at the gate

Fighting fiery dragons
with a sword held in my hand
I wouldn’t even hurt a fly
I hope you understand

Not much like a movie star
good looks and perfect hair
If I walked into a room
no one would stop and stare

I do not have a sculpted chin
or muscles big and strong
Definitely not a leading man
for that would just be wrong

I’m not young like I used to be,
way too close to old
But if you can see past my faults
you’ll find my heart is gold

I want to bring you sunshine
every cold and cloudy day
Write for you a poem
that will take your breath away

Look into your eyes so deep
with wishes from afar
Maybe sit beneath the moon
and see a shooting star

Tell you that you’re beautiful
while we are oh so near
Show you my affection
so you know it is clear

That every dream I’ve ever dreamed
is what you’ve come to be
I hope you see me as the same
though I am merely me

My heart is like the broken glass
               there lying on the floor
It shattered a few thousand times
           behind quick slamming doors

                 The ****** shards
                   that lay unbroken
are all of that's left of love unspoken
To you I give this simple token
a piece of me in ****** ink

This piece of glass I entrust to thee
This little glass it holds the key
Beachy glass washed from a sea
         from my waiting ...wanting tears

              I've tried to love though
                       it's been vain
                   My heart is fragile...
                       single paned
I'll try to love...again with you
          liquid sand from praying pew

        I know my heart's a fragile mess
my love for you I must confess
the edges sharp my hands caress
             to make us whole again

An hourglass I'll shape in time
and strip away the ****** grime
My heart is here to love once more
A green glass piece lost on your Shores

I am here...if you decide to try
rebuild this heart from tears it cries
I wonder in its silence sighs
In you I feel at home

you know I'll hold your heart safe too
curing resin my hands will glue
        repairs rebuilding love anew
a fracture fixed by love that's true

build a bond that won't be broken
                  a smooth soft heart
                       your loving token.

Was Wishing on a Star and this just came out of nowhere....:)
Lucid dreaming is the doorway
        to the unconscious.
So dream.
Do not stay closed
        behind cement barricades
        blocking the moon
        from shining.
Live.
Each second is for you.
The tumbling of life
         does not promise
            anything.
In one breath
you can have
        a time table
        handed to you.
A distinct framework
        of how much
        longer you shall be.
Stay in illusion.
Keep in mind
that very little
is worthy of
being screamed about.
Politics
        and
people games
        are not
         the substance
        of existing.
Picture colourful images
         that flutter
          playfully
            across the
           mental horizon.
A traffic light
      will
       blink
red, yellow, green.
A noise
        will dominate
         the shading sky.
These mean nothing.
Moments of distraction
        soon
         gone away.
Focus on fantasy.
Allow yourself
the freedom to
         celebrate
        the essence
        of harmony.
When you die,
       it will be
         your dreams
         that are
          remembered.
Breathe.
It's just
      a bad day,
      not a bad life.

A poet with vibrant soul
Eloquence within every word
Departure for Heaven's gate
An eternal rest is his fate

Inspired many such writers
And beloved by many more
Family always close to his heart
A heart larger than it's size
A poet from this site is gone. It seems Mr. Chris Vaillancourt has passed away. Though I never got to speak with him personally, I fell in love with his wonderful works. I'll be glad to see him when I pass from this world and maybe get to know him, then. :)

This is where I found out.
