I'm having a love affair
Multiple if you get down to it
The sun, he kisses my cheeks every morning
My coffee frenches my mouth
My clothes caress over my body
At night
The stars whisper sweet nothings into my ears
And the moon penetrates my being
And they all become jealous when he is near
For he gives me all of this
He adds the butterflies that wreak havoc within
I am having a love affair
One I will not quit
Mmm, how I revel in my lovers....

Fat
Wat I think i am
  What i'm not
Wat i dont wanna be
Wat I need is to lose some
   its not  healthy
But dont wanna be too skinny
       So I'll stay chubby

I still remember the day you stole my love.
My world became blurry, except the image of you.
I imparted every unique part of me.

I still recall the day you pummeled my love.
Taking my innocence and your serving of my heart.
You left me wounded, but I guess that wasn’t your plight.

I still hate the day loving became complicated.
I no longer share pieces of myself.
The distinguished part you took- *I’m unable to rebuild.

Can’t you see me standing right here?
No worries, as long as you do what you’re told.
I whisper your tasks directly into your mind.
You complete them expertly; my work of gold.

I dabble in all of your unsecured senses.
They say the eyes are the windows to the soul.
I direct your gaze to that human over there
and love where your imaginative mind goes.

It’s time to devour deliciousness, my precious friend.
New task is to eat until your inners grieve.
Your stomach will stretch! Complete what I ask!
Have seconds, even fourths, but never say please.

How dare another human think they’re better than you?
You will shame and hate her until the end of time.
Tell everyone you’re the gift given to the world-
that you bless them daily with your beauty’s shine.

The task of lying is personally your favorite.
You lie happily with no sadness in sight.
The drama you conjure makes me so proud.
Your best lies even started a massive fight.

You wear wrath and anger so beautifully.
I make you drape them around your lovely neck.
The glow coming from it blinds logic's vision ;
with only a whisper I make your life a wreck.

We’ve been joined together for a long while now.
You chose to fulfill all of my given tasks.
Since you have died, you will travel down with me.
Your way to the light- you’ve forsaken in the past.

There was a gas station down the street
From where I used to live
I would go there to people watch
Late at night
Always interesting what with the addicts and drunks
The cashier was a skinny guy
Continually smiling, warm
I never spoke to him,
When he talked, I listened
He never questioned me
I watched
I'd buy one can of Mountain Dew
Sit on the bench outside
Watch
Till my mountain dew was gone
Then I'd walk home
The very last night I went there,
Seven years ago
The cashier guy, he was always so gentle,
Smiling, warm
I walked over to him
I kissed him
Long, and with love
I kissed him,
And he kissed me back
I've never seen him again
I think about him,
His brown, side swept hair and kind eyes
I think I loved him
I wish I'd asked his name

Last year
Your husband hammered
Your loving heart
And stopped it
Unable to shock it back to life
It cracked with soundless thumps
Depressing through your body
Zombified
You walked along
Hoping for a cure

Today
I feel you
Alive in strength
Your heart plays
Drumming melodies
From across the pond
Beating with life once again
Recently melting in
Warmth of opportunity

My dearest friend
I see reality
Unfortunately
The clouds hovering
Behind his sunshine smile
I smell vultures hiding
Waiting near by
Til you fall in his bed
In moments after
When you will be lying alone
In your thoughts
Feasting on your glued heart
A heart you fixed on your own
You are built on resilience
Believe that this is
A simple attraction
Ready to evaporate
Into the gloom
Spilling rain of hope
Revealing the rainbow
Shining bright
For only your eyes
To spark with

A rare thing, my Mother's touch.
Though it was she I desired,
her babies I lovingly embraced.

Letting us make messes.
Be boisterous.
Expected independence.
“You do it, you learn it”
Helped us raise each other,
myself in the lead.

Our imaginary
world, rarely interrupted,
allowed us the freedom
to entertain ourselves.
Mom was not one to coddle,
but to patiently teach.
Cooking, gardening,
care giving.
To plant a tree,
and properly prune.
Create a thriving home
for salamanders.
Names of plants and trees.
Cloud formations.
how to patch up bloodied
knees and noses.

My Mother knew how to
transport a station wagon
filled to the brim with kids.
Provided us with masking
tape to square off our own
territory, creating safe
havens from point A to B.

She was fearless during
that overwhelming time.
Chaotic household of
youngins’ needs.
Teens tempers, mixed
with yearnings and desires
She taught us perseverance.
Eyes forward
No matter... calm or storm.

Her demeanor,
devoted and gentle.
Yet, fierce in determination.
An educated “No bones about it”
woman. A nurse.
Cute in a clean,
crisp natural way.
A woman of extraordinary
capabilities, rarely
comfortable with a compliment.

Not one to linger in a
moment of luxury.
To be soft and silly.
Or settle in for a deep cuddle.
The way she was raised
amongst her kin of many,
being the youngest.
from a different time.

Regardless of my perspective,
She loved enough to
make 5 children.
Provided food.
and kept us clean.
Encouraged the decoration of
our bedrooms to our
personal delight.
Allowed dogs and bunnies
to share our lives.
Insisted on the five food groups
at each evening's family meal.

These days, I cherish the hand
picked cards always mailed on
time for occasions and
holidays. ThankYou notes for
every kindness shown her way.
With her gardens beautifully
tended, herbs carefully harvested
and patiently dried, at Christmas
she labeled recycled spice bottles
collected from here and there.

Yesterday I gathered them,
Small glass vessels in hand.
My name and the date,
meticulously written by
her hand on white labels.
Over time, I have
saved them all.
Ingredients left intact.

My Mother's language of
love lined up in front of me,
these Little Bottles,
a culmination of the years.
Aromatic herbs
tenderly tucked inside.
I understood then,
I had been
Held in Mother's
arms all along...
I just never knew how to
fully accept her embrace.
