Oh! How like you, I long to be a singing lark
Who among the fleecy clouds like a tiny speck
Remains hidden, drowning the air with music sweet
Rising higher and darting up with movements slick

In our ears, falls your song like peals of chiming bells
In clear, crystalline notes on this radiant day so bright
Why do you stay unseen in the far fringes of heaven?
Oh! Come out from the veils that cover you from our sight!

Are you warbling of love in inextricable lays
Or chanting hymns to the God of greater heights
Diving up and down like a mysterious sprite
Are you trilling of the charms of enchanting sights

Soaring and swaying like a flitting dot of light
You ascend higher and higher to dizzier heights
I guess your wings brush against the sailing clouds
As you reel round and round in ecstatic flights

Have you bade farewell to the verdant groves beneath
Have you flown for good from your woody nest?
Why do you dwell in the heights, solitary and alone?
Have you made the firmament your haven of rest?

Hovering over unseen, you pour out melodies sweet
That fills our gloomy hearts with euphoric delight
Sweeping away from weary heads all sullen thoughts
And flaming our souls as ever blazing beacons of light!

Merging minds through confluence of time
Streaming into vastness of space
Piling on the eons we climb
Subjective to a human race

Evolution is nearer to nothing plasmatic
As brain tissue melts loosely away
Finding transformative signs galactic
A robotic mechanical sway

Electrodes and microbes in fervent fusions
Find waves upon air and streams
Static electricity combusts allusions
Eyes disintegrate, fried by laser beams

No ointment to existence as we are lard
The oil for machines to profit
Toil long and toil hard
As progressive adaptation won’t stop it

For the gravity of this juncture upon us
Climatic epoch in measure
As ethical questions confront us
What gains from the yield of treasure?

Life is a trudging beast that isn't going to stop
For you or for anyone
It will go on and on
As the world turns
With or without you
So it's best to move on when you can
In the hopes that maybe you can catch up
And start living again

While it was raining heavily outside,
Two children in shabby, tattered dress
Stormed into our glass roofed patio
And at the door, for mercy did pause

They said they were out to buy empty cans
To make a living and support their family
The only work they could do at their age
And it was not their intent to dilly dally

I was in no mood to entertain them
As my hands with pending works were tight
A week’s laundry and some shopping to do
But was rather indisposed to send them outright

As I looked onto their starved faces
I felt a hard tug deep from within
After a moment’s thought, when I invited them in
In innocent mirth, their eyes did spin

When I brewed for them two cups of coffee
And gave some homemade snacks to munch
Their little faces bloomed in joy
As if savoring a favorite fruit punch.

All the while their curious eyes went
Flashing from nook to nook and every corner
On my well stacked shelves of china pottery
And the costly gadgets and the gas burner

When they were about to leave
They simply said- “Oh! You are rich!”
Of course a new revelation, it was to me
Something I had never thought over much

Yes, with a roof overhead
With enough means to feed my kids
And with a steady income every month
How rich I am compared to those hapless lads

Now, though many years have slipped by
I reiterate to myself what those children said
‘Oh! You are rich’ lest I shall ever forget again,
How rich I am and this thought keeps me ahead!
May Christ bless each and every one of you, my friends.
May your day be smooth, and full of tremendous Joy.
May everything that you touch bless everyone that you know.
May you be one of Christ most blessed servant to others.
May his Great protection of you be like Psalms 91 protection.
May your heart always be filled with Love for everyone.
May everything that you love, be pure and Holy too.
May your nights be filled with rest and peace always my friend.

The trees give me shelter
When the rain comes on down! The trees give me comfort when noone is around.

The trees have a silence, holding in the earthing secrets. Tree's are not violent, they keep still, quiet, perfect.

The trees make love to the clouds, as baby raindrops they create, but the trees are dying like you and me, their feeling the worst of the universes fate.

So many are filled with hostility
hostile world, we're living in
in a place of constant volatility
volatile minds, never giving in

this world needs new possibilities
possibly, we can fix this place
place me in a world of viability
viable living for the human race

will we ever sow the seeds of fertility?
fertile growth for all of mankind
mankind needs a brand new civility
civil ways should be re-defined
this style has different rules than my usual quantum loops. Viable - capable of working successfully; feasible.
BOTANY
(of a seed or spore) able to germinate.
BIOLOGY
(of a plant, animal, or cell) capable of surviving or living successfully, especially under particular environmental conditions.

is not the question

when we have thoughts
we think we should put down
make known to the wide world

we often hesitate
ponder if it is worth the while

afraid of being shunned
called names
et cetera
by people who believe they know
how proper writing should be done

welllllllll ….

I believe if one makes all the effort
to tell us how s/he feels and thinks
all we should do is

LISTEN!

Memories formerly a pleasure to think about
Have become a sharp knife to carve my heart out
The thought of a look, a place, a moment in time
Serves only to recall what is no longer mine
Everywhere I look, and every thought I have
Reminds me of the lost happiness I had
Every morning when I open my eyes
Unwanted thoughts of my anguish arise
And I do my best to cast them aside
But it seems to me there’s nowhere to hide
A standard breakup poem.

as they come into Silence
I keep a soft focus
on the notes..
For now I am not the notes
I am the Silence
as the notes appear
in sequence and multiplicity
in the Silence..
Silence has taken a brief form
soon to melt
leaving only Silence...

Is your heart so full of sadness,
   so bogged down with despair;
You feel you've reached the bottom now,
   and no one really cares?

You're at the end of a lonely road,
   with not one soul in sight;
It feels there's no way out but death,
not one thing else feels right.

As tears well up within the your eyes,
   you look back through the years;
You wonder how it came to this,
the worst of all your fears.

You knew some how the end would come,
   as we all meet certain death;
But never dreamed you'd be alone,
   when drawing your last breath!

Now listen close to what I say,
   you NEVER were alone;
My Lord and King looks out for you,
   while perched upon His throne!

He's waiting on a call from you,
   He knows it's on the way;
In fact He knows all about your life
you live from day to day!

Get on your knees and call on Him,
   just ask Him to forgive;
Each time you've sinned all the through your life,
   forgiveness He will give!

My God will love and pick you up,
   from lonely depths of sin;
You'll never be alone again,
and with Him you will win!

a wildfire
the best and worst days--
the cold air that steals october away
the leaves on the ground
getting swallowed up by the earth.
spring's first song. that old bluebird
that never left for winter.
the mountains we have crossed
and built.
my mind, filled with dark things,
things that spill out and cover my words.
years before you.
when love was a war that you don't come back from--
i still carry the stones that were placed on my eyes.
washed up on the riverbed,
i pushed the water from my lungs,
and pulled myself up onto brittle bones.

a warrior,
right as rain, the sun rising on the first day of summer.
my eyes formed of light, what no one can steal.
the world has worn against me,
some days i forget the sharp edges, and
so i love.
i cry, and i speak, and i show you
every part. until it hurts.
i search for bricks and stones and
anything
to keep me safe. locked away,
where light cannot even reach me--
where the black night grows so big,
so heavy,
that your eyes, the sun, are nowhere to be seen.
