Insecurities:
Talk to me
When I don't
Talk to myself.
Voices:
Scream silence
When I don't Listen to them.
Emptiness:
Fills me
When I don't
Know myself.
Cravings:
Love me
When I don't
Love myself.
Lust:
Clings to me
When I don't
Caress myself.
Tears:
Stick by me
When I don't
Stick by myself.
Goodbye:
Welcomes me
When I don't
Welcome myself.
Does this mean
This won't be
If I do
Talk to myself,
Listen to myself,
Know myself,
Love myself,
Caress myself,
Stick by myself
& finally
Welcome myself
With open arms. - Disha Bhatia

Tiara I S
Day in- day out
My stress keeps me company
As I wake up- as I lie back down
When the moon has long risen-
I'm too tired to ignore it

Patches of raised flesh adorn me
Lattice work spiraling from my fingernails
Itching settles the urge for a moment
As my body wishes to burst free

Of the poison my mind erupts with
On a daily basis- as I am- corrupted
And plagued- by demons fueled by rain
I get sliced all day- there is only pain

And strongest urge to end it all
It all hurts too much

We were merely mortal men
before you wrote the wars
that squeezed lemons from gems.

We were acid tip tongues that spit
every type of liquid that was poisonous.

We were the pit you put petted vipers in.

Then when you could have
elevated better men
you made us demi gods
whilst naming honest people frauds.

I'm in love
with a lie
that is older than me,

and a hope
that is younger
than
the most recent spring;

Not a parroted dream
but a queen
of deep schemes
that parses out wisdom
and better poems
than me.

I'm in love
with a drug
that I create
everyday,
not pill
that some take
but the thoughts
that make
my mind great,

and the shadows
that I see
make me want
to believe
there is something
greater out there
that is in love with me.

Forcing words from a tired brain
Isn't worth the bother and pain.
A glowing screen:
A headache induced.
A suppressed scream:
A low slow groan.
It's like getting blood from a stone,
Writing bad rhymes on a phone
But I'll soldier on
Given this is poem 151.
