My lips go numb
everytime we kiss
& my body shakes
everytime we touch
I still feel you hours later

I want to memorize
your flesh, your breath, your scent
& every curve through your body

I can't stop thinking about
your past, present, future
& how I want to be there for it all
And never letting go

I need to tell you everything about
my past, present, future
& how I want us to become one
How I need you accept all of me
And never let go

I want you to keep
tracing your fingers along my flesh
inhaling my breath as I speak
memorizing my scent as I don't pay attention
& I'll welcome you everytime
With your curves against mine

I wish
your lips, skin, bones
become numb everytime I touch you
& I hope your body shakes for hours after
Just like mine
When all the ships
Have gone to sea
And no one’s left
On shore but me,
Will you forget
My golden hair;
Forsake me for
The salty air?
When winds, they blow
And storms, they rage,
In thoughts of me
Will you engage?
And when the mist,
It coats your face,
Is it my breath
That you will taste?

Strephon kissed me in the spring,
Robin in the fall,
But Colin only looked at me
And never kissed at all.

Strephon’s kiss was lost in jest,
Robin’s lost in play,
But the kiss in Colin’s eyes
Haunts me night and day.

& i dont mean physically
you turned your mind off to me
you shut down & backed out
i was staring at the corpse
of the girl that once laughed
she could breathe life into the room
but now youre a walking tombstone
with the words
i rest in pieces
carved haphazardly into the front
now the only peace of mind i have
is that it wasnt me who killed you
it was your own heart
racing faster than a freight train
& when it beats out of your chest
maybe ill see the real you
soaked in blood
& charging for the exit
not unlike the last time we spoke
i swear you threw the door off its hinges
like you ripped our pages
out of the book
& used them to wrap your cigarettes
breathing in our words
like tobacco
feeding off our feelings
like nicotine
you smoked yourself into a stupor
& wiped your mind clean
of any thought of me

Poetria
Her eyes so bright;
Do you ever wonder where the sun goes at night?

The rain, dancing on the pavement
in no specific arrangement.

Luminous flames eat away at sharp skewers,
Her eyes silver-grey, clashing with the tables of steel.

Barbecue roasting, impaled through the middle
The pain paled in comparison to watching you smile.

A toast to me, myself and I, a glass of sweet solitude.
I watch tall wine glasses clang drunkenly together, alone.

A pin drops in the distance; no silence to accompany it.
Unnoticed it goes, by the arrogant lords and goddesses.

Pick a flower, compliment her hair; devil may care.
She's walking away, I tell her 'Ma'am, have a nice day'

Left alone to stumble back home,
sipping champagne royally; Mockery.

Spilling champagne and it swirls down the drain
I tilt my head back, laughing carelessly all the way.
