Endings like beginnings are not always apparent,
in the moment the eye blinks and the landscape changes.
Had I known would I have lingered in the space
just to feel the edges of it all soften and fade?

I am the mist, seen but for a moment and gone
into the dark sky that has been pressing it face against my window,
forever waiting to inhale me back to the edge of creation
into a past that was so recently present.

I cannot rewrite the chapters from before,
they are permanently printed and must remain unedited.
Each word was written with a single breath, a testament
that I, a speck of stardust, glittered for one glorious moment.

As sleepless thoughts savage,
the devil whispers into my ears,
softly triggering,
resonating melancholy,
the moan of a creature known to be depraved
and sinister,
soon becomes the lilt of an angel
who was once unfortunate
and misunderstood.
he calls me religiously and persistently,
captivating and lurring me,
to a side that has a melody; unknowingly *unholy.

I don't see the color in the flowers which line the path to a supposed never-ending fairytale.
Knight in shining plastic, melting with each step that I take.
I can't seem to shake the nightmare which depicts your heart slipping out of my hands;
Keeping it there is about as difficult as trying to grab water and cup it without letting it slip through the creases of my fingers.
Yet, just like the water falling through the cracks of my blank palms, the loss is inevitable.

I never understood how both
a self-obsessed egomaniac
and a hopeless romantic
could inhabit one body;
perhaps it is the reason
I have spent so much time
in front of the mirror, hating myself.

In the wind
Shimmering
Soft the sunlight caresses your hair
In golden beams
Of breathlessness
Blended sure and sensual
A touch of love
Upon my face
To leave but this, and endless trace
I cry my dreams
Of often spent
In days my eyes do find

Love invades this longing
Of gentle soft lips
Upon my own
It is my heart that calls
Comforts
Craves you with eternal flame
If only to speak your name
I breathe, my breath
Is because of you
Tenderly I want
I need, I require
Your love is my desire

Dreams
Sifting on a twilight breeze
Calmly, silently
Whispers on a clouded mist
Formed beyond my window
As I peer
Desperately
For but a glimpse of the beauty
Captured within
My visions of you
Eternal
My view

Take this man
Of lonely means
Wandering of sorted roads
For this I offer
Undying love
With each beat of my heart
More rapidly so
Steadily
Of true affection which showers
Upon you forever
Nourishing
My destiny
You and me
Thank you for reading

A poet dies not when he looses the will to live
But when he looses the will to write

Third time's the charm
and you've only ripped my heart out
twice

Let me drink the poison
one more time

The first time I was quenching my thirst
with salt water
in hopes the wounds
would heal
and then I swallowed the sea
because my sailor
would not look at me

The next time
I closed my eyes
at the sight of the waves coming
so I cannot blame you
for pulling me under

I will stay afloat this time
unless your anchor has grown
and you still find a way
to drown me
in the tears I created

I won't know until I try

Down this pathway lush and green
Along a winding brook
Dragonflies on cattails play
Come on, let’s take a look

I heard it’s just around the bend
Take my hand, we’ll see
The place where fairies sing at night
Beneath an old oak tree

Sometimes I wonder,
When the wee fairies blink
Do they twinkle like stars
What do you think?

There! Do you see?!
Upon the pad of a lily
A fraggle of fairies
All acting silly!

I see, I see, right over there
With wings of precious gold
Dancing now the sun has set
I guess the truth was told

How many are there, can you see?
It looks to me like eight
I wonder when they’ll start to sing
It’s getting kind of late

I hear the sound of wind chimes
The song is about to start
There upon her lily stage
A fairy opens her heart

The sound of sweet enchantment
A love charm and a spell
I think this song is meant for us
I don't know how, but I can tell

You’re right, I hear her singing
A precious fairy tune
I feel the same way you do
Out here beneath the moon

You must know what this means
It's time I had that kiss
Under stars and moon, in forest Green
*Magic and love, abundant bliss
This is a collaboration with the girl who stole my heart. The one I write my love poetry for. Her verses are in italics.  :)

was
on the evening
of the harvest moon
neurotic tensions
whirling
everything just
stirring
dreams as visions
come without sleep
and i fall deep
into a cesspool of
cerebration
and the grisly truth
that accompanies
thankful that only
the coyotes may hear
the loud cries
of a broken woman
Wonder where the dead go
is it to heaven or hell?
but belief is only an ego
where all faiths dwell!

Some think the dead turn to dust
everything ends with death
but are minds that trust
souls do reincarnate!

Some believe death is a shift
when ends earth’s traveled road
it’s one blessing of a gift
moving to God’s abode!

When I watch the night sky
thinking of ma eyes blur
I feel she really didn’t die
moved away far to be a star!

are glimmers talks with someones eyes
listening, you know,
when care is real and flow is
felt and right is there and rhythm
goes straight forward with no doubt
from eye to eye
mouth to heart
soul to soul
and tears felt flow with confidence
that now
is then what all you waited for.
the day is now no more
awaiting for that day to live.
You are living
now.
