Lend Me...

Lend me your eyes.
So I could fill them
with the bursting stars.
Telling tales of the spellbinding universe,
singing songs of exploding suns...
and of splintering quasars.

Lend me your thoughts.
So that if I may,
write of them.
Fantastical scribbles of love
and praise.
Meticulously lined
and carefully stitched...
with immaculate lace at the hems.

Lend me your breaths.
I'd catch them as they fall...
between the words you would say.
Merging mine with yours...
introducing colour...
and vigour
to my monochromatic world of
black, white and grey.

Lend me your heartbeats...
for mine thumps erratic.
As if beating in silent mock.
I depend on the steadiness in yours.
So they could usurp
the ticks of worldly clocks.

Lend me your hands.
Palms up as a sign,
perhaps as an invitation...
for me to take them.
And maybe...
hopefully fill them...
with mine...

Death by ******, death by chance,
Death by secret night romance,
Death by number, paint the liner,
Death in colour or black and white,
Accidental, planned prolonged,
Death by always doing wrong,
Death by self, a timeless art,
Death by one last broken heart.

Death has been waiting long
Death has been patient
But now Death has come

The rocks will wear away
Trees will burn to ash
Lakes will evaporate

Nothing stays

Buildings will deteriorate
Clouds will pass by
The tide will go out

Nothing stays

Fires will burn down
Leaves will fall
Snow will melt

Nothing stays

People move on
Joy will leave
You have left

Nothing stays

**Everything leaves
Don't get too attached

Death patiently files his nails
And smokes a casual cigarette
Grinning and eyeless
He says so calmly
"Catch you later
Brave little dreamer"

Despite such brittle certainty
Men and women build
Despite such small mortality
Every space is filled
In the midst of death's destruction
Men and women build again

Fear, like a cringing bowel
Exudes an acrid stench
And whimpers and whines
Simpers and cries
"Don't you dare
Don't you ever dare"

Despite this clinging dread
Some will need to dare
Despite the bursting head
Dreams insist on birth
In the midst of our stupidities
Something wondrous strives

someday, it will rain
clouds will clear again
one day the sky will have our name
the season will change
and the forest will be green again
river will smile the same
and once again
you and I will be free
the world will forget its pain
with all it ceased to be
in stones lost and gained
words left for us to see
in this sea, a crooked tree
will flower a seed again
and mother a fathers stain
of a sisters guilt to bleed
a pharaoh cloaked in blame
for all those who were gone
and those who came
oh, how we became
each others strain
broken, in all our depth
to fall in love once again
tell me now again,
is all love the same ?

band aid.

i once came across
a young lad
who asked
if there is a band aid
for a broken soul

to his question
i remained silent
it was quite unusual
yet it was brave
and it was what reality is

that was the moment i knew
no such thing exists
for a broken soul
can only be mended by
the love he never knew
