How will I do it
Wait a year
365 days and maybe more I fear

How will I do it
Miss your touch
Your embrace so right

How will I do it
I'm not sure I can
Because you only left me an hour ago and I long for you again

There was an army of ants in the plastic plants
So I poured light through a magnifying glass
And I created a fire on the artificial grass

They scurried and hurried
with flames on their backs
Like soldiers on a hopeless plain,
searching for invisible barracks

And I sighed as they died,
because we are all the same:
Scurrying and hurrying from invisible pain

silas
behind the locked door
in a steamy cloud of mist
i drag my finger down the mirror
writing your name
over and over
inconsistent, misshaped words
humidity conquering my breath,
making it feel impossible to respire
yet i do nothing to help myself

maybe i'll die in here.

in that moment
i felt nothing
only
utterly
pathetic

Senseless beauty,

Indulge every chance you get.
In that galactic heart of yours,
Where stars are dense as wild flowers
Covering the dark ranges of space.
Where the greatest lessons are distilled
In your subtle flavours and delicate
complexities of your new sensorium.
Eat your guilt, and do not look at your tortured mate.

*The lesson is pleasure not pride.
