 Jul 2016 Apachi Ram Fatal
autumn
I'm either clinging to you
Like velcro
Or farther away sitting next to you
Than if I were on the other side of the planet.

I'm either rambling on
About nothing but also everything
Or I don't utter a single word
Sitting in the background chewing my fingers.

I either want you to know me,
My every thought and whim
Or to know absolutely nothing of me
Like I nevee even existed.

I'm all in
Or you never really had me.

You are either god
Or you are the devil.

There is nothing in between.

I never really grasped what grey meant.
Desolation devours my heart,
Dripping and covered in rot
Blood clots, these stains won't wash
I'm lost, creeping through fog
Smog clogs black lungs
I'm high strung
From my spine column.
Surrounded by all,
Surrounded by one.
No one's really there,
Company is an illusion
Friends are a delusion,
Imaginary and elusive.
Things that don't exist,
Poke, pick, and twist
The human condition
Stoking a flame
But the heat's amiss.

It's so cold in loneliness.

I need you like an elephant needs love, how a heart needs to touch something other than blood. How penguins need to get ******, to commit and propose. The way these hands need to write prose, questioning the name of a rose.
You pull at my very soul. Dig and fill a hole, where never-ending affection will grow. You're my obsession and I know it's weird to let it show but these feelings are something I just can't hold.

I need you, please...
Sausage and cheese;
I haven't had pizza in weeks.

to me summer is the greatest season of all
my second favorite, well that would be fall

summer is dandelion fluff and shirts with no sleeves
fall is pumpkin pie and tumbling leaves
anonymous winds
bend tall Timothy grasses,
wake rabbits napping
in the brush

they ripple the surface
of the stock tanks, tickle the haunches
of the beasts who wade there
to slurp the tepid waters

they birth red dust devils
for my eyes to follow, as they scud
through mesquite, and hopscotch over canyons
older than time

one day, soon, they will blow
over a shallow earth bed; I will not hear
their sibilant song, but my sleep will be deep,
unperturbed by their mystic music
You told me you
              Couldn't find your way
                                     In your darkest nights
So I left you a star
               A star in every poem
                               To find your way home
//On her//
Thank you all for loving this poem so much! It's such an honor to have a daily poem.
I wrote this for a special someone in my life.
