Run
ran away from the place in my head where your words still burn
I left your house--
the house I'd hoped would be ours--
and all I could think about is,
out of all the people in the world,
only you feel like home.

I shouldn't have gone to that party.

For anyone who hasn't read the poem "The Wedding", by Clementine Von Radics, I highly suggest doing so. Her work is beautiful, and that poem is pretty much exactly how I feel right now.
No, don’t look into my eyes
You might see the glitters
No, don’t look when I smile
You might see me lose my mind

No, don’t feel my heart
It’s a fear I hardly hide
No, don’t look at me
You might feel my heart beating fast

No, don’t be sweet, telling me take care
You know how you can take me to heights
No, don’t make me feel you miss me too
You know I’ve been dying to see you

No, don’t ever think I’m in love with you
Cause you know I’ll shut off as soon as you knew
No, don’t tell me you’re leaving anyway
You know how and why I’ll bleed everyday
and I stopped playing our songs

In the silence,
your absence echoes
off of every surface.

The water
from the faucet
mimics the open
veins in my chest.

Filling the empty gap
where my heart
once was.

It's sickly splatter
pools in the basin
and pours into
the darkness.

Draining
into the void.

*How did it come to this?
