Shorts too small,
tank too tight,
boots to the knee,
&& hair too white.
Walking through the city,
with her head held high,
while everywhere around her,
people heave a sigh.
Little girls see this as perfect,
&& they struggle to shape.
Is this what 'perfect' is now?
Kids fighting the battles,
fighting the tease,
Models on magazines,
"Don't eat that, please!"
Standing in front of the mirror,
turning left, turning right,
all I see is fat,
even if I **** in with all my might!
But as I turn to face,
a smile spreads.
The girl she see's has demons,
demons she will chase away.
So get rid of all those magazines,
don't listen to those models,
forget those clothes,
we refuse to sink to the bottom.
Everyone is beautiful,
Just the way they are.
Looks don't make a women,
any more of a star.
Jeans fit right,
blouse flows against your skin,
purple high heels,
hair shines with every spin.
Smiling down the town,
with her head in the clouds,
and everyone around her,
well, they're **** well proud!
