You came into my life temporarily
And I still gave you pieces of myself
Knowing that when you'd leave
You would take me with you

in the end i always get left
it's always the same, no matter which boy it is
i use the photos we took together as coasters
and the old t shirts to soak up spilled moscato
i go out a little bit more and work a little bit less
then i write a poem
and do it all again

All I ever wanted
was to be left alone.
The more I ran,
the faster the cockroaches pursued
with their false friendships
and self-serving greed.

A man grows tired, sagged,
and his body slows,
his mind withers,
as death approaches.
This is not from old age,
but from thousands of stabs
delivered by forked tongues
of friends and enemies,
and his women.

As the spirit escapes
and runs
from the madness,
its the soul which finally
has the last laugh
in the darkness,
alone

You are like a corpse flower;
Beautiful and rare, but with a hint of death
In case you do not know what a corpse flower is or how it looks like, then I suggest you should Google it. It's a very unique and  beautiful flower, but with a foul smell.

a skeptic and a believer
in one cracked soul;
a not so lover of words
and a poet in one beating heart;
a grotesque and a beauty
in one complex mind;

it’s a person against the world
and a human against himself.
