in the pleasure of discovering
words rhymes rhythms
i'm a gluttonous poet.

day and night
bite of my growing appetite
makes me sink low

i don't notice
broken pieces
shattered peaces
around me

i breathe in writing
eat and drink
poetry

crazed obsessed stressed
my poetry
like any other debauchery
is an escape ride
someplace to hide

i'm a poet
subservient
to the pleasures of words rhymes rhythms.
So many words between us—
The caustic breech of abatement, ruin
Runs atonal, in recitals of indifference,
How even the ****** birds now sound
Discordant and rain crushes as it falls,
Ballistic.

The pinprick stars are merely eyes
Undraped to the worn soul's veil
And gorgon time roils setting our feet
In the crust of wishes and delusions
Kept.

The bullet riddled skies in absence
Of colour are but particulates of lime
To the moonless night.  Words have no
Eyes, they can only finger.

O the sorrows of the untouched—
The cruelty of the sightless and bent blind,
Drab vermillion stars felled like forced tears.
A tortured soul
Who endured
Lost love
Anxiety
Depression
Helplessness
Hopelessness
And has finally found peace
For putting it onto paper
Has been their best therapy
 Jan 2015 Third Legacy
Joe Cole
It's early in the morning, the sun comes over the mountain
peaks
To reveal a million shimmering diamonds scattered round her
feet
Each a liquid sphere of beauty shot through with rainbow
light
Only the magic hand of nature could create this wondrous
sight
A million glittering dew drops were laid there over
night
Each is now a diamond transformed by the suns warm
light
She sits in stunned amazement as each diamond fades
away
Burned off by the rising sun with the coming of the
day
The idea here was to incorporate factual nature, glistening dew drops with a bit of imagination
Let the peace take a flight,
Please don't hate and stop this fight

Lies will only make you a liar,
You will burn in your own fire

Look around you and see this love
Doesn't it look like a beautiful dove?
I know that I write poems on the same topic again and again but I don't know I can't think of anything else. People around me don't let me think of anything else.
