Now I know
that the LORD
is greater than all gods:
for in the thing wherein
they dealt proudly
he was above them
And once I was a poet
Words poured out
Just as waterfalls do
Among the fauna and flora

And once I loved a man
Tears poured out
Just as scorned ones do
Among the lie and injury

And once I was a scholar
Dreams poured out
Just as the progressive do
Among the movers and shakers

And once I was a hussler
Schemes poured out
Just as survivors do
Among the users and takers

And once I was a nomad
Splendor poured out
Just as free souls do
Among the winds and gods

And once I was a poet

I looked ahead
and stepped into
the seductive unknown
heart blind
eyes wide open

I looked ahead
into "what can be"
and gave "what" its curiosity
"can" its strength
and "be" its confidence

I looked ahead
and took a deep breath
with fear in one hand
and courage in the other

I looked ahead
but when I wanted
to take a step further
I felt a tug
on the strings
of my heart
sometimes the highest hopes
can pull you from the
darkest depths
& I fear
we're at the bottom

I'd like to climb my
tree
& live in it for a
while

& maybe someday
I'll come
down
& maybe so
will you

the grass won't be
so brown
& my eyes won't
be so full of
moon

i know you haven't heard
those four letters recently.

but i promise that if kind
was a human,
he'd take his form as you.

you never ceased being
the light in the middle of a dark tunnel.

thank you for being that phrase of hope amongst all the sentences
of negativity.

though our journey together
has had its times of separate roads,
i assure you that my path will always
find its way back to your warmth.
i know this is probably not the art you were hoping for, but i hope it still makes the cut.

happy birthday, mike.
I like spending time reading poetry
Love poetry
Where everything is perfect
They make me dream
Dream of a perfect love story
They make me think of that perfect girl
Laying on my lap telling me about her day, dreams, plans
And places she wants to go
Poetry that make me dream about her telling me how many kids she wants to have although the number of kids she wants does not match with mine (laughs) but we always find a solution
We actually find a solution for everything in those dreams of mine
We are sitting by the beach having deep conversations
Or we’re making love in the woods broad daylight
Poetry makes my mind dream and my mind always puts her in those dreams.
