The reaper's eyes were on her,
Yet she never bowed.
The reaper's ax chose her,
Yet she never soughed.

Death was finally in love,
With the girl he could never cow,
For she was something he could never have,
A girl with a skin too firm to swallow.

Why couldn't he touch the girl,.
The girl whose tears never fell,
The girl whose eyes are pearl,
The girl whose voice is a shim of bell?

Her secret wasn't a mystery,
She was too pure to be touched by maleficence.
The reaper desired her for her rarity,
But his hands burned at the touch of virtuousness.

Death chased her everyday,
In the hopes of taking her soul,
But  her soul was too far away,
Far away for him to hold.

The young maiden didn't even notice
The harvester at her tail.
She was too involved in lightness
For her to witness his veil.

The reaper's ax was rotting,
It was yearning blood,
Though who he was lusting,
Was nothing but an illusion set by god.

The girl was a mirage,
God's own penalty,
Towards the slayer,
That gave birth to misery.

The past is a horrible place to be lost in,
Yet a delightful place to hide.
Such a shame that I keep relapsing to that time,
But am I to blame when reality renders my demise?
My clock betrayed me, and yanked me to the Now,
My heart wept, but got silenced by the mind,
My logic tamed me, and so did I dwell in a lie,
where the present morphed me a mask of which
made me blind.
In the night I hid, distressed by the light,
For empty my shadow in it did rise.
The mirror I began to detest,
In it my reflection seems so hostile.
I cracked at the end,
And so I carried this cheap pen,
Soaking this paper in my emotions which bled,
What the present failed to amend.

The sun rose announcing a new day,
but she still wept over the idea of yesterday.
Her tears fell so silently down her gently face,
her sorrows fervently holding her in an embrace.
Why was it that nobody knew her worth?
All that everyone did was take her to her own hearse.
Oh, how she yearned for some affection, some special care
to make her forget her affliction.
The days went on, the pain still lingered, her heart felt heavy,
her soul finally withered.
The sky trembled in rage and despair,
for the demise of such innocent soul was of no fair.
Though, she shall rest now amidst angels and pure souls,
for the mortal world is a place that
even hell shall loath.

Closer she got pulled,
her body now leaning on his,
dancing with grace,
to the symphony of melancholic haze.

Chest to chest,
her heartbeats so apace,
dancing with him placidly,
trying to keep her breathing awake.

Staring into each others eyes,
icy-blue and stormy grey,
his seemed dead, hers so radiant,
both so different, yet so interlaced.

He was a mystery she just met,
totally oblivious of his true intent,
for he was the devil in disguise,
and she was the prey he wished to torment.

A kiss was shared,
her soul he stole,
his lips like morphine,
knocked her out cold.
