This world has learned
******* a woman
How to starve her
work her
fail and burn her
This world has learned
that daughters die
slowly
rise again as living dead
souls stolen and sold
bought and bartered
then discarded
I wonder
if love ever had your eyes
I wonder
if those arms where ever meant to hold me
or if I was just blinded by the desire

I wonder
if the words you spoke
were ever about love and admiration

This is not another poem about the love
I never received from you

You left me
with many questions
those I never had the courage to ask you
The words I wish I could speak
When we chance
upon each other
years later,
you will ask me

          do you still write?

and I will answer

           of course I do.

you took my heart
with you when you left,
not my hands.

Maja
when people ask,
they don’t really want to know.
they just want you to tell them,
what they already think.

The Untold
I slept with the moon smiling at me
    I dreamed of you.
But not all dreams come true,
    Because sometimes,
          We die in our dreams.
I wonder if the moon still smiles or it grieves the loss.

My eyes yearn to close
but my mind always bites me back
to this world.
I want to see you but I can't come naturally
I reached into the drawer
and chose my sword.
I impelled my mind and I slowly
drift away to you.
