floating in a sea of falling snowflakes,
the bitter cold entwines to me so pleasantly.
a soul starts sinking to such bitter mistakes,
life is a graceful tidal wave of unpredictable misery.

eyes closed,
untouched within,
the outside is always open
the gentle breeze invites itself in.

hearts break from this safe haven like wildfire,
all the pieces scatter on the delicate cold surface.
air tightens when walking this irrational frozen wire,
hot and cold swirl together as we resurface.

feet lifted,
mellow pace,
ashes from the winter air appear in our place.

paint drips in the snow like a delicate snow-angel made of glass,
it's intentions are vivid though it's presence seemed colorless,
insides fill like watercolor into the true colors of a canvass,
eyes brighten deep to gaze into the soul filled with new purpose
.
the canvas has been watered,
paint drops down our skin.
art appears,
our hearts start to fill in.

colors brighten,
the center darkens.
the canvas gives new life,
hearts are not forgotten.

In this moment you are the sea with its 23 shades of blue
I am the horizon that gently caresses the ocean

In this moment you are the setting sky with it’s cool pastels and firey reds
I am the moon grateful for the love the sun shows by dying so that I could breathe every night

In this moment we are the wind and the leaves, locked together in a sultry dance; dancing to the tune of love

And in this moment we are two souls on a narrow path to our common destiny

What is it about the moment you fall in love?
I wish that my life will be this moment

Orion stirs my soul to write
To look into the eyes of the sky and see
To hear the distant howling moon
To reach beyond the silhouetted trees
Until I stand above all this
On either side of the pinnacle roof
Oh yes, like you
I've climbed my whole life to reach this height
To stare back into the stars anew
How you look at him, would look at me?
Orion in the sky so high
Though no man is a burning star
But a constellation
For he is connected to the flickering flame
Which burns for you

Endlessly...
With perception ever turning through
O-Ri-ooonnn!
My wife, a psychiatrist, sleeps
through my reading and writing in bed,
the half-whispered lines,
manuscripts piled between us,

but in the deep part of night
when her beeper sounds
she bolts awake to return the page
of a patient afraid he'll **** himself.

She sits in her robe in the kitchen,
listening to the anguished voice
on the phone. She becomes
the vessel that contains his fear,

someone he can trust to tell
things I would tell to a poem.
One ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,

One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.

Three rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,

Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,

Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,

One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne

In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,

One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them

In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
