Bound
Md Zillur Rahman Jun 2018
Bound to expectations
My wings do not flap,
My heart does not sing,
My eyes do not see,
My mind does not wonder.

Bound to responsibility
My soul resents me,
My existence compels me-
To wither away in the cold breeze
Of the ever lasting winter,
In everlasting hunger
To survive.

It's not that I have forgotten to live,
Forgotten to smile,
Forgotten to rejoice the miracles of life,
But I am in a never ending debt, to life.
And all the sorrows
All the limits
All the abandonment of the self
I must endure
Only To survive.

To Forvige
Md Zillur Rahman Jun 2018
To forgive
Is the greatest virtue of all
It binds us
Completes us
Enriches the soul.

To forgive
Is to grow wings
Wings of light and peace
Illuminating the path to peace
With oneself and the universe.

To forgive
Is to love
Love the faults of mankind
Love its highs and lows.

To forgive
Is to believe
In God
In oneself
In humanity.

But most importantly,
To forgive
Is to live
As a man burdened by grudges
Forgets to breath in the beauty of life.

Can You See It?
Md Zillur Rahman Jun 2018
Can you see it ?
Behind my mask
The person that hides
The real me , you can't always see.

Can you see it?
Behind my mask
Someone not so polite,
Not so right ,
Not so uptight.

Can you see it?
Behind my mask
Someone not so strong,
Eyes flooded with tears,
Can't hold back.

Can you see it?
Someone who acts like all's well,
When you fly off
Glide the winds with a different flock,
Yet it's tearing him from the inside.

Can you see it?
Someone not so kind,
Not so tolerating ,
Not so selfless ,
Who for once want's his way.

Can't you see it?
Just a little effort from your part
Would make his day.

The Lonesome Star
Md Zillur Rahman Jun 2018
I am a star among many
Aimlessly floating in the void of space,
Waiting for the great union ,
Travelling like all other
To the centre of existence .

I am a star among many
Up high twinkling with my own shine,
We are so many
Yet I feel alone
With none to compliment my shine.

A star among many
I ripped my flesh
And gave life to my companion
Earth they called him.

A star among many
She gave me company
She gave me purpose ,
I gave her the greatest gift of all
The greatest gift I can offer, life.

First she rejoiced
Then she cried
Then she suffocated ,
As my gift was eating him
From both inside and out.

Such cruelty , such malice
I could no longer bare.
It infuriated me
I roared with anger
The flame of my anger burnt all
Then engulfed.

A star among many
Alone ,bitter, sad
Travelling in my lonesome path
To the great union
Where all began
And all will end

— The End —
