Beautiful Black Beauty,
The sun swims in your skin.
Beautiful Black Beauty,
Your smile provokes my grin.
Beautiful Black Beauty,
Oh you, my dearest kin.
Beautiful Black Beauty,
You are not a sin.
Beautiful Black Beauty,
Don't frown, lift up your chin.
Beautiful Black Beauty,
Launch your galaxies from within.
Beautiful Black Beauty
You battalion of melanin.

Beautiful Black Beauty,
Du début à la fin.

It hurts seeing the one you love, love another
What hurts more is hearing the one you love speak of the one they love, but it ain't you.
I hurts having to pretend that you are happy that he's found someone he loves, especially when that person won't love him like you do.
Some days you just wanna tell him that "hey, I'm right here, I've always been here."
Other days you just long for him to hold you and never let you go.
Then it hits you: he does love you, but here's the catch; he loves like he loves his little sister.
He'll never see you as anything other than that and you have to make peace with that fact.

My keyboard is my piano,
You are the tempo.
Each letter an omnipotent gesture,
You are the rhythm.
My fingers fluttering, words cascading,
Music flowing, space imploding.
Tiny strokes, heart pulsating,
Quickly now, dont fall behind,
My wandering mind, simplified,
Superstitious and inconspicuous,
Tantalizing new beginnings,
Each endeavour so endearing.
Nothing more than tiny strokes.
I play for you.
Every rendition,
Every distinctive differentiation of anything beautiful
is for you.
The fincal act, don't stray too far.
Tomorrow is a new beginning,
and you are my star.

i.

She hath given me a home
Sent by God she was;
Unearthly, to men unknown.

ii.

She hath breathed the breathe
Of life;
Wherein all is right.

iii.

She showeth me day
In mine dismay;
She's the sparkle to me, at night.

I take one last look at the girl in the mirror
The first thing she asks me is;"Am I pretty enough?"
I look at her from top to bottom, bottom to top, and
I notice she's doing the exact same thing.
I step closer and she does the same.
She asks me one last time:"Am I pretty enough?"
Before I answer her, she asks something else:
"Will I ever be pretty enough?"
To which I reply:"The day you and I are pretty enough, will be the day when the clouds turn gold and the sun is non-existant."
That is when I see all the hope and life in her eyes, die out.

Be strong

I have to be strong not for me
But for everyone else
I want to cry I want to scream
But no one can see my hollow tears
I keep you near to keep me sane
But the thought of you makes me sad
I want to hide and cry alone
But you are here and it keeps me real
I know you've left this solid ground
But in my heart you still live
You've kept me together for so long
So I will stay strong for everyone else
Don't ever make me think that I made the wrong choice by sticking with you through thick and thin because I might just leave one day and that'll leave you into thinking "why?"
and you'll never know the reason because you never did the effort to make me stay....
