The Quiet Ones pt.1
moon man Jan 2020
They are The Quiet Ones
you know who I mean
The Ones who are silenced when they try to speak their minds
The Ones other's lean on because they know the Quiet Ones won't say no
The Ones who are separated from what they love and put into situations they don't want to be in because they fear the possible consequences if they break their silence
a different friend of mine found out I write.....this is the end result of that, but he gave me much more inspiration...
moon man Jan 2020
As he lay on his bed, staring at the moon while she reached the highest point in the sky, He starts to look back on his life. He remembers of watching baseball games with his family. He remembers of improving himself every morning before work. He remembers of being alone with his girl and nothing but her angelic dreams. As his alarm wakes him from a slumber he never noticed had crept up on him, he realizes that it was merely a dream.
a friend of mine found out that i write poetry and wanted something written about him.....and this is the end result

Her smile
moon man Jan 2020
She smiles when she's happy and doesn't think much about the simple action
but when she smiles, she has power that she has no idea of
when she smiles, she can make the moon shine brighter
when she smiles, she can make bitter old men remember the gift of happiness
when she smiles, she can stop hearts from bleeding
when she smiles, the fall night air smells even crisper
when she smiles, she has my curiosity at what she smiles at
she has this much control with just a simple action
but she does not realize her potential because she doesn't notice....
or maybe she doesn't want to notice
a poem I came up with about "her" that I doubt she will ever read......but if she does find this......I want you to know that just your smile is powerful

Woman of the moonlight
moon man Dec 2019
Her presence was like standing in the moonlight, both beautiful and calming. While I wanted to stay in her attendance forever like an artist wishes for the moon to stay and never greet the sun that is to arrive. I soon come to realize that, like a child wishing for his nights in the moon beams to never end, staying in her light would soon be no more as I watch the inevitable moon fall as the sunrise peeks over the horizon.
just something that reflects personal matters....it felt appropriate here as a way to help others who lost their woman (or man) of the moonlight
