Lies
 Feb 2020 Jenna

Don't tell lies,
Not possible to live this life,
I am not a Saint,
I lie,
Sometimes lies are necessary to prevent a hurt,
To make someone feel better,
To ease pain.

The majority of nights,
I spend on my bed,
and in my head.
Sleep then becomes
a luxury I can't afford,
even though I've worked all year.

Dear HP,

This is not a poem
But a question
The answer to which
I do hope you have

Why does my lover claim to love me
But still looks for every opportunity
To let me go?

Is it that she loves me so much
But doesn't think she's worthy of me

Or she doesn't love me enough
To think I'm worthy of her?

Mrs Anybody
sometimes
I have to
get rid
of thoughts
that I can't even
tell my best friends

that's why
the moon
is one of my
most trusted ones
also check out my other poems!  :)

in the gentle breeze,
tree branches sway gracefully
mum sings lullaby.

Boat

In a hidden dock
My boat comes in
Tick-tock,
Over the seas
My boat comes in
I'll be free,
Sails unfurled
My boat comes in
Let's give it a whirl,
Drifting in
My boat comes in
At last home to my kin.

Question-How do you write?
Answer- I write,
What I have seen
What I have been
What I feel
What I deal
What I realize
What I visualize
What I love
What I observe
What I live
to live....
