the first time i met you, i had a beer in my hand
i pretended like a beer was enough to hush the voices in my head
i sat down next to you
you asked me if i wanted anything stronger, so i made my own
i didn't know your name
you were singing, you were laughing, you were smiling at me
you told me your name
i told someone i was good at pingpong
you told me you wanted to play me
i sat there hoping that it'd be tonight
you were smiling at me
i couldn't stop looking at you
my phone kept buzzing, the guy i thought i loved thought he loved me
you asked me to follow you downstairs
i couldn't play ping pong for ****
you kept smiling, i kept shaking
i kept drinking
i kept drinking
i kept pretending like you didn't interest me
i don't remember the rest of the night
all i could do was hope
hope for another night with you
i kept drinking
you kept smiling

There is a person
I've always known
Yet will never get to meet

Everyone
That I know
Has met her

All...
But me

I see her sometimes
Through others' eyes

I may catch a glimpse
Temporarily

We share the same dreams,
Fears and doubts

I know her
Very personally

Yet only through a looking glass
Am I allowed a peek
At the face I know so well

Yet will never get to see

My view is only
Of my reflection

So unfortunately

I'll never see
What others do
When they look at me

Of all the dreams
Of mist and rain
I've dreamed here by this window pane
Of cloud kissed skies
Of grass with dew
None proved to be as sweet as you

Hazel eyes, Luminous, with a gleaming smile.
My chest, erupting with glee,
just with the fact, that you’re staring back at me.
Love leaps from my heart,
telling me,
We mesh together like a symphony.
Devoted to you forever,
eluding the life around me.
For all that matters,
is if his grasp is around yours truly,
Protected in his arms,
safe from humanity.
I know I have found you,
the one I hold so dear,
Just by the way my heart flutters when your near,
I beg you to stay,
Sweet lover of mine.
For without you,
life would be but a mystery.
I’ll Love you until the end of time,
because you belong to me.

Saying goodbye
To someone you love
Is like reading the final page
Of an amazing book.

As the last chapter ends
You begin to notice
Just how beautiful
And perfect
The plot always was.

You appreciate the joy
And even the pain
As you read and thumb
Through every page.

Finally understanding
The moral of the story,
You realize you've reached
The end of this journey.

Although the last sentence
Is the most difficult to read
Another great book awaits
Once you turn the final page.

Eventually you may stumble
Upon yet another great find.
Or maybe you'll return
To the book you left behind.

You may just discover
Once all is said and done
That this particular book
Was your favorite story
All along.
