The waves calm
As they can be,
The silhouette
Of a woman
Reflecting
Celestial beings
Upon her skin,
Matching the tides
With the wet sand,
Covering foot prints
That got bigger
and bigger
The more
I circled around,
Now I float
Towards the horizon,
Feeling better than I
Did yesterday,
Watching the stars
Fall out of the sky
In the evenings
Of a month
I’ve learned to
Stop counting,
I would drink
If I had a drink,
I would smoke
If I had a smoke,
I would love,
If I had someone
to love.
And slip through
The crevices,
Through corals
And tropical fish,
The light feels
Warmer down her,
Maybe,
I am okay
After all.
