This weight on my back
Reminding me who I am
Failure on the move

This is not a poem
I didn't try to make it work
And yet, here we are

I forgot my goals
in the breadth of a day
I used an excuse
to make it okay

A familiar pain
I try to forget
Go do anything else
then feast
on regret
