Do not just merely follow your dreams
Chase after them
Visualize them coming true
Overcoming all obstacle's
Keeping your eyes on the prize
The joy of your dream coming true
You will then inspire others to make their dreams come true
This poem is inspired by one of my lessons in a class I am currently taking.

Here's a poem for my mother
My favorite teacher of all
She never stood in front of a whiteboard
She didn't have me raise my hand to ask a question
She was just always there when I needed her
She taught me how to be kind
And this needed no lecture
She was just the kindest person I knew
She taught me to fall in love with language
She never led me to believe that I had a reading level
She shared with me what she wrote
And she shared with me what she read
And even if I didn't fully understand
It still felt like magic
Knowing that words could create different worlds
And she taught me how to do just that
How to create a world with language
She never had to give me a grade
Because I passed creating something I was proud of
And she still teaches me
With everything she does
And this is why to me she's the best
Teacher
Poet
And of course mom
I love you mom

To trend or not to trend, that is the question?
There seems to be so much focus on whether poems trend or not.
There are many great poems that do not trend and they deserve recognition too.
I'm writing too much.
I really don't brag!
I'm on a ******
Full on writer's jag!

I know I should stop
Or at least slow down,
But I'm having such fun!
Why should I frown?

I'm writing so much
I guess it's not fair,
The poems I write
Just don't go anywhere!

But I don't want the laurels
I don't want to trend,
What diff does it make
To me in the end?

There are many times
When my muse doesn't stay
She packs up her baggage
For long holidays!

So should I keep notebooks?
For these wintery ruts?
Store my poems up
Like a squirrel with nuts?

If I kept a notebook
It'd sure get right fat!
Cause, folks, you inspire!
It's as simple as that!

So here I am.
Poets, what should I do?
I certainly don't want
to alienate you!

If I stop writing
And posting them
I'll set aside notebooks
And take the cap off my pen.

I'll just keep up
The ideas seized
I won't be so eager
And wanting to please...

So here I go
My hat I do doff!
I'll be a good site friend...

... and just toddle off!

wedding bells peal o'er the dales to-day
they peal in a most exuberant way
their pealing tells of endless happiness
which shall last with much gleefulness

matrimony a blessing of enduring love
a troth gifted by the Lord up above
choirs of birds shall sing of devotion
as the wedded couple bind in adoration

wedding bells peal o'er the dales to-day
they peal in a most exuberant way
their pealing tells of endless happiness
which shall last with much gleefulness

the sacred vows of love ever entwining
holding through the years of shining
love's sweet bloom flourishing so bright
in a divine accord of special delight

wedding bells peal o'er the dales to-day
they peal in a most exuberant way
their pealing tells of endless happiness
which shall last with much gleefulness

a life time of endearments they'll share
beginning on the nuptial day so fair
a kiss of blissfulness sealing the oneness
between the couple in true togetherness

wedding bells peal o'er the dales to-day
they peal in a most exuberant way
their pealing tells of endless happiness
which shall last with much gleefulness

Oh eyes will you see the beauty in front of me
Oh ears will you hear the laughter of family and friends
Oh tongue will you taste all sorts of delicacies
Oh mind will you perceive all I need to learn
Oh feet will you walk as if in another's shoes
Oh from one another we learn so much in life
I am going in for eye surgery today and was thinking and this poem came out. I am having Cataract surgery.
